I can apperently move my steam games to my steam account if the game is on this store too but when I use this feature it just tells me that there are no eligible games on my steam account...
I have all the gothic games there and I just discovered them on the gog store when browsing through these sales

I don't have any of the games installed so this might be the issues, I'm installing the first one right now will test it again later but I'm not sure if it really will make a difference
Are you referring to gOg's Connect feature / program? If so, please note that it does not apply to every single title that appears in both stores. They are usually presented as a limited-time offer, and normally just a small handful of games at any given time.

Currently, the Gothic titles are not part of this program.

There is a similar program called Reclaim Your Game:

Also kurz und knapp:

Yes, buying them on GOG should speed up the process.

They never will all be supported. It is an occassional promotion, not an eventual goal.

Which i a bit annoying, and why i disliked the Connect program to begin with.

But oh well.

It's unfair to malign the feature because it isn't as generous as you would like. I'm sure getting anything added to Connect takes a lot of negotiating with publishers and developers on GoGs part. It's a perk, not a core sales model.

I have a tiny Steam library of games that I've gotten for free from various places and I've still gotten a fair amount of games through Connect. That seems more than fair to me.

I suppose it's more the initial expected scope of the implied program, and being disappointed vs what we really get.

I mean you're getting games (that you already have...) so... *shrugs*

I definitely agree that the way they trumpeted it's release made it sound like the scope was going to be much larger than it has been. They made a big deal about it and had a few games then it disappeared for a long time.

But it was never really billed as being about getting free games, it was billed as getting DRM free backups of games you purchased elsewhere with DRM. The value of that depends on the views of the person getting the game I suppose.
