JinseiNGC224: Well, it may not be the best game, but the wishlist has over 500 votes. That says something enough that the game is worth a re-release, especially since some of the classic titles here are already very, very niche, with some better than others. I'd still play it if they re-released it on GOG.
Fun fact. Just as I promised I wanted to vote for the game ... imagine my surprise when I noticed that I already did. Anyways it's voted for.
teceem: Corrected that for you. ;-D
Breja: 10 was bad, but I still think 9 was the absolute rock bottom for X-Files. The terrible finale, the way they killed off the Lone Gunmen, just the all-round suckiness of Monica Reyes... that season hurt. Still, it's like picking between being kicked in the butt and or in the nuts.
But I'm happy to report season 11 is surprisingly good. Not "old X-Files at it's best" good, but still enough to make me really glad they brought the show back, even if it took them a while to get back on track.
Agreed!
tomimt: That said, one way to get X-Files running is to make a Windows 95/98 install under DosBox, as this actually works much better than making a Windows 95/98 install under any modern virtualization platform, as they aren't really made gaming in mind. Not that the Windows support of DosBox is perfect, far from it, but that is, as I've found out, far more viable alternative in some cases.
I disagree. Like said I simply installed the game. The only thing I could not install directly from the game dics was quicktime. Took me 10 minutes to find a working QT version. Would have taken me forever to install another OS inside an emulator. Only some very few games do make problems in win7 and mostly the way to get them to work is quite easy. However several games have been reported to be problematic to get them to run on win10. That's one (but not the only reason) I don't plan to use it.
