The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt live combat, gameplay mechanics, and more, with developer commentary and a Q&A session, are coming live to Twitch.tv/GOGcom!

This coming Tuesday, GOG.com and CD PROJEKT RED invite you to a special live event at the GOG.com Twitch channel.

We will be showcasing 45 minutes of live gameplay with Łukasz “LUq” Wnęk, Counter-Strike 1.6 legend currently working at CD PROJEKT RED, taking control of Geralt. He will be joined by Level Designer Miles Tost, who will provide developer commentary for the new footage focused on combat and gameplay mechanics including melee and long-distance combat, alchemy, exploration, monster hunting, and means of travel.

Once the gameplay portion of the stream is finished, we will hold a live Q&A session on the air. Miles Tost will take the time to respond to live comments coming in via Twitch chat, as well as to select questions from the GOG.com community forums! It's a rare opportunity to ask about all the saucy details of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt development.

During the event, you can expect a Witcher lore contest, in which you will have the chance to exchange your Geralt-related knowledge for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt t-shirts, with a little help from Twitch chat and your friendly neighborhood postal worker.

We're done collecting questions for the folks at CD PROJEKT RED about the upcoming Witcher game from the forums, but you will have another chance at asking yours live, on the Twitch.tv/GOGcom chat!

The live event will begin on Tuesday, May 5th, at 6pm GMT / 2pm EDT / 11am PDT at Twitch.tv/GOGcom. Follow our channel to get an email alert when we go live. See you there!

In the first game, the thing I remember most is that little villiage at the very start, with the haunted houses, hell hound etc. It was unlike any other game I've ever played and gave me the feeling of being a monster hunter. It did get slightly diluted at stages, but I wonder how much of that sense of you being a monster hunter will be retained, or improved upon? Like a some have said, almost an X-Files sense of detective work and paranormal/supernatural mystery
How many total quests are there in Witcher 3?

Warlegend: <snip>
Are there any quests related to specific in-game time of day?

If you remember Witcher bestiary, there are monsters that are active only due certain hours.
Plus, if you remember experience from W1 and 2, where we had time-based quests, I think it's safe to say an answer on this question is "yes". :)
I second Mekari's question on native DS4 support.

For me I guess the big question is this...will the PS4 version of Witcher 3 be 1080p at 60 FPS or 30? If it's 30 can I turn down some of the detail to bump it up to 60 FPS?

Also, speaking of your RED engine, have any American or especially Japanese companies contacted you on licensing it out to use on their games?

edit: One last important question...will all versions of the game feature Lossless audio? I don't mean as a separate soundtrack to listen to but rather in game.

From what I understand in previous chats, the graphic "finishing"-type moves can be disabled in the game's options. Is it possible to also disable to blood effects (either during combat or during the cutscenes)? I completely respect that this game is rated M for this among other reasons, but there are times (like when my wife is watching) where it would be nice to disable blood effects during combat.

Thanks!
Wondering about the import of a savegame: If you don't import a game, do you miss any dialogue options, comments from npc's or anything like that?
Momot said on the forums that when the game launches high end PC's will be able to replicate graphics like in the VGX trailer. Is this still true? attached is his post on the Witcher 3 forums

I'm 99% certain from all the comparison pictures that we've seen with our eyes that this person is grossly exaggerating or being dishonest.
Is there anyway you're going to release the game early? With huge fan excitement, is it something you've taken into consideration?
Will there be Geralt's awesome cinematic finishing moves? just like in The Witcher 2

I have 4 questions:
First question:On the PC will you be able to chose the actions from previous games , or will it be just an import save system?
Second question: How well is the game optimized now, considering that it is just weeks away from release?
Third question:Are you planing to go on a vacation after the release of the game?
Fourth question:How many people at ,,CD PROJEKT RED" speak German?
Is The Witcher 3 works without problems in the 21:9 format ?
Will a linux version be released on May 19th?

Will we be able to pre-load the game from GOG?
Will you please tell us, before any gameplay, the full specs of the system you're using for said gameplay?
Also the resolution and settings.
Thanks.
