The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt live combat, gameplay mechanics, and more, with developer commentary and a Q&A session, are coming live to Twitch.tv/GOGcom!

This coming Tuesday, GOG.com and CD PROJEKT RED invite you to a special live event at the GOG.com Twitch channel.

We will be showcasing 45 minutes of live gameplay with Łukasz “LUq” Wnęk, Counter-Strike 1.6 legend currently working at CD PROJEKT RED, taking control of Geralt. He will be joined by Level Designer Miles Tost, who will provide developer commentary for the new footage focused on combat and gameplay mechanics including melee and long-distance combat, alchemy, exploration, monster hunting, and means of travel.

Once the gameplay portion of the stream is finished, we will hold a live Q&A session on the air. Miles Tost will take the time to respond to live comments coming in via Twitch chat, as well as to select questions from the GOG.com community forums! It's a rare opportunity to ask about all the saucy details of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt development.

During the event, you can expect a Witcher lore contest, in which you will have the chance to exchange your Geralt-related knowledge for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt t-shirts, with a little help from Twitch chat and your friendly neighborhood postal worker.

We're done collecting questions for the folks at CD PROJEKT RED about the upcoming Witcher game from the forums, but you will have another chance at asking yours live, on the Twitch.tv/GOGcom chat!

The live event will begin on Tuesday, May 5th, at 6pm GMT / 2pm EDT / 11am PDT at Twitch.tv/GOGcom. Follow our channel to get an email alert when we go live. See you there!

I have a question:

Just yesterday, I bought a physical copy of The Witcher 3 (see attached picture for proof), but it doesn't seem to work at all. What might be wrong?

What will be the default opening save for WItcher 3 be? There's no way Geralt could be truly neutral in Witcher 2.

There are no boobs on the front cover. That's a dead giveaway.

+1 for the laugh. :)

I have one question. How The Witcher 3 will be cooperate with Radeon graphic cards? Cd Project Red Advertises all the time nvidia cards, and any one word about Radeons. Personally, I have Radeon R9 280x and'm afraid, if we can manage to run at high settings, even though a card with the higher end.
Hello, I have two questions:
When the pre-download will start (hope at lest one week before 19th)?
If it's need a GTX 980 to run in 1080p, Ultra and 60fps how it will be for the GTX 970. Will the game run in the same setting but with 30fps at least?
Primary Questions: Will some equipment from the previous games be imported into The Witcher III from Witcher 2 save-files on PC, like before? We know that story-decisions will be carried over, but what about armour, swords, and quest items? In a similar vein, will any of the knowledge (id est, Bestiary entries, or special abilities, like 'Strong Back', or 'Experienced') acquired in the second game be transferred? A more general question, if you'd rather not give too much away, could be: 'Will returning players on PC see any minor inventory, or skill advantages, if they import a save-game?'

Lesser questions: Is there the remotest chance of seeing dice poker return? And -- ay, it's the same RivenII from the Forums, Miles -- will we ever meet the Griggs from Murky Waters again? Long live the Griggs!

Hi, my question is will the PC version have the intro part where you can choose the actions you have made in the previous games?

And if so, will there be a difference between importing your save file and doing it the other way? (less choices or something).

Thanks :)

kparal: Q: When will we see the Linux version of Witcher 3?
↑This!
When they announce a Linux version I'll be like TAKE MY MONEY!!! :)

Also, I would like to ask if modding support similar to W2 is planned.

Must be a fraud. You know what gave it away? The BBFC doesn't rate video games anymore! Ha!

+1 anyway.

Could you please sell the soundtrack separately here? ;)
I have what could be seen as a somehwat skeptical question: both TW1 and TW2 have had Director's Cut/Enhanced Editions. Is this a thought or a plan for TW3?

I will be purchasing the game at launch regardless but I'd really be excited knowing there would be some sort of 'definitive edition' a year or so down the line. Now, I understand for TW1 it had mostly to do with optimization and bugfixes (which were in dire need) and TW2 also had some of that, and I'm sure no one is expecting/hoping TW3 ships in a buggy or unfinished state, but even if launch occurs without a hitch, the Enhanced Editions of both games have added a lot of value to the core experiences in the past, even if we were to disconsider the amount of fixes they introduced.

I'd really love to know the answer, that way I could either replay it straight away once I'm done without waiting endlessly for a product not even being planned or, alternatively, hold on on replaying it and wait for the definitive edition for a replay, just like I did with the former titles! Thanks for the attention.

Q: Where do you plan to celebrate winning GOTY for this wonderful title?
Ooh, shiny!

Okay, my questions:
- In case of a ported save from previous games, will Witcher 2 end-game equipment be turned to pumpkin again (yes, I miss my Raven's armour, G'valchir, and Aerondight)? If game would be based on acts, why just no up existing equipment to next act (equipment is still split in tiers) instead of force us to look for new one? Yes, I do appreciate you creating tonnes of clothes and swords, but let me choose what I want to wear, okay?
- In case of a ported save will Geralt's level be dropped to zero again, or we'll retain some experience and skills? For a person whose memory is clicked in, having another amnesiac is quite strange.
- Had you hired Dragon Age 2 animator, because in Witcher 3's video footage I notice same combat animation pattern - instead of smooth, fluid flow of various moves Geralt had in W1 and W2, in W3's video his actions seems to be split into DA2-alike sequences: fast hit animation>visible pause>hit animation>pause, etc. Very annoying and immersion breaking.
- Do you plan to boost PC Master Race Graphics promised earlier or we stuck with what we have now, which is basically Witcher 2 level, minus lightning, post FX, parallax, and grass draw distance of ten metres instead of two?
- Will dice poker be there?
- Will we be able to choose end-game explosion's colour?
- Why so serious?
