In that case - I'll ask the CD PROJEKT RED team on Monday if one for The Witcher 3: WIld Hunt will be available :) sorry, I wasn't aware they were so prominent and frequent - but it's good to know!

OMFG
You deserve a medal. Good people like you who interact and discuss with the community are the people who make deserve as much praise as the devs themselves. Kudos to you!

Well you are on GOG. How could you expect anything less than the best?

Ciris: To the best of my knowledge, no.

I'm not sure if this isn't part of why CD PROJEKT RED made sure to announce the system requirements for The Witcher 3 loud enough - so that everyone can make sure if they have good enough systems to run it. And yes, it's not the same as actually testing a game out, but... To be honest, I don't know when I last heard about a demo for a game being created. It seems like the rather distant past :D but I may be wrong on that one.
Well, when was the last time a company released a AAA grade game without mandatory online clients or other DRM? Well... ? That's right. A thing of the distant past. :D

CDPR like to handle things a little differently, and above the current industry standard, after all.

Anyhow, a full demo isn't necessary, but I'd also like to have some sort of benchmark test program, just so we can see how the game and its various engine features would perform on our systems. Yes, they've released requirements, but it's no secret that those are usually a vague guideline at best. As far as I know they also didn't clearly specify just what kind of performance we can expect with the required hardware specs. ( Resolution, FPS etc. ) A practical test would be the most reliable and customer friendly option, especially considering the rather high requirements, and the fact that many people will have to upgrade their system just to run the game reasonably well.
Again; to have a benchmark in the demo is of utmost importance. Hardware enthusiasts like to download games ''just to see how they can run it''.

Thank you, thank you and thank you ^_^

I just can't wait ^_^
Hmmm. If i play a demo, i might as well be (re)convinced to actually (re)purchase the game (this time for good). I got really pissed from marketing, PR and general moves and policies asspulled suddenly, so i cancelled my preorder.

A demo, though, can make me feel otherwise... Game is very good, i feel guilt, i rebuy (this time with expansions). But no demo, no play. I wanna demo, demo, gimme, meow, gimme!
Only a couple of weeks now. So I wanted to bump this topic one last time.

Witcher 3 benchmark, please GOG! Please CDProjekt!

Steam has a demos feature for long. I know that I played Tex Murphy: The Tesla Effect's demo before launch and it convinced me that I must have and play that game.. Then I got it here ;)... Too bad Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity kind of threw me off and didn't had time to play it...
Yeah, I agree with everyone suggesting a benchmark. That would be far easier to develop, and would serve the purpose of testing the hardware at least. Personally that's all I care about. Actually being able to play a short amount of the game via a demo might be nice too but I don't care for that sort of thing quite as much. I already know I want to buy and play the game without even trying it first, I just want to know how it will run on my exact hardware and whether tweaking the settings for video etc. could make it run acceptably or not (which is in the eye of the beholder ultimately).

My entire system meets or exceeds the Recommended system requirements *except* my GPU which is just slightly under the minimum specs (Radeon HD7850 2GB). Most likely there wont be a way to test this out in advance, and nobody else will be able to state enough information to know in advance either so it's probably kind of moot now.

I suspect it's just a matter of waiting until the actual game comes out and going from there.
