JMich: though I'm currently looking for Elizabeth to complete the Civ V badge (again).
What's the benefit of completing a badge multiple times? Isn't that much harder, or do you get new card drops after creating the badge?

Friend request sent btw. And I'll fire up Civ5, let's see if I can get a Lizzie for you. ;)

Aaaand one Lizzie, coming right up. Will be served for breakfast as part of a trade offer. :)
had two foil cards drop in a row yesterday, one worth $2.68 and one worth $2.99. life is good!

Put them up for $10 and see if anyone desperate enough makes a move for it....
I was able to sell a foil for $10 a little while ago (before the Steam Autumn sales). Then again, it was the Dojo Master for Fist Puncher and it was the only one up at the time, so that helped out.

DarkoD13: Maybe lower your price a bit? There's a big gap between 0,59€ and 0,83€. It's usually newer/non-bundled games that have higher priced foils, the other ones seem difficult to sell most of the times.
Thought you might enjoy this: some guy just bought out the lowest 10 or so of these cards and dumped them back on at $1.50+tax. I guess it was a good thing I didn't lower further, eh ;) The people who are left are even better off, though. Now they could undercut him slightly and come out with a good haul, much better than before. I do hope his "investment" pays off, though it might take awhile for him to sell enough of these. And then there's always the newcomers who will probably undercut him, too.

Actually, he appears to be trying to corner a lot of the HoI 3 foils market. Dayum.

Tricky business, that free-market stuff :P

Is there any point to completing more than one of the same set of games for a given game?

nijuu: Is there any point to completing more than one of the same set of games for a given game?
Yes.
It's a completed badge, so you get all the bonus of completing one (emoticon, background, coupon/sale card, 100 xp).
Some people prefer a badge to another, so for example I do want to complete the Civ V and XCOM:EU badges, while I don't care for the bit trip runner at all.
If you care about collecting, you will probably want to finish the collection. If you don't care about the collecting, you won't care about the badge level, and it will be cheaper to just buy the one emoticon/background you may be interested in.

Whoops. I meant, once u complete a badge for a game and got the stuff from it, is there any point to completing the same badge again (same game), ie get 2nd set of same cards and craft it again?

So if you have a Level 1 badge, why make a level 2? See above reply.
If you have a Level 5 badge, you can't upgrade it any more, so you'll have to trade for any emoticons/backgrounds you are missing.

Are the bonus emoticon/backgrounds different at level 2/3 etc?..

Well you get more XP points and the same shit you get usually (emoticons, wallpapers and the like) ;d

Ops I read it wrong. I don't think that they are any different, no.

Each time you complete a badge, you get 1 random emoticon and 1 random background. As far as I know, there isn't a specific emoticon/background you get per level. You may be lucky and get a rare emoticon on level 1, or unlucky and never get one.

You get a random frop ranging from common to rare (maybe there's somethign above rare? I don't know), but I believe chances are the same
Btw what about foil cards. Never tried this one.

Is there any difference other than the badge?
