Emob78: How do you figure? I have 3 on disc and as soon as install window pops up, it's an Origin service installer. AFAIK there's no way to bypass it and install the game w/o the Origin DRM.
mqstout: I play mine (+all expansions) with zero Internet connectivity, even during installation. I think it *asked* you to install Origin for its updating system, but the offline patches are/were available.
EDIT: Unless your disc is a later collection or something.
Yeah the first physical versions of The Sims 3 ( and some expansions ) were fully playable without creating an account but at some point EA decided to reprint everything in a patched version forcing the use of Origin. The only way to tell which version you have is to look at the back of the box if you see the origin logo.
