Some Questions:
1. How long are the day/night cycles?
2. I know the town people are not allowed to talk to each other secretly in any form, but how does the mafia talk to each other during the night? Do they PM?

The CSI will get all DNA on the crime scene from the Night the victim died. So the DNA from the one that performed the nightkill plus the DNA from all others that visited the victim in the same Night.
Oh, and the DNA of the victim is revealed to the CSI. So if the victim's DNA previously appeared on any other crime scene, the CSI will be informed of that. Basically the CSI gets a free sample from each murder victim.
Example:
Let's say, dedo was killed by ZFR. But GH roleblocked dedo that Night.
On the morning, when the murder is discovered, the CSI gets three strands of DNA:
a7dd9418283a3355d08df87e7131e68f (DNA of the victim)
172ec7fa22d075a6b848b6a5530d7b2c
b08d8f1b5631d0a105edc4b60c20ceed
Then he can check in his database whether he knows one of the two unknown strands and whether dedo's DNA did perviously appear on any crime scene.
