Hey everyone!

A few months ago I created a YouTube channel dedicated to retro games and this week I did a video on the Ms-Dos version of Golden Axe which is in my opinion, the definitive version.

Why? Because you can play as the Final Boss, or enemy generic enemy in the game for that matter. You can also play as a dragon riding a dragon that shoots dragons.

Anyway, here's the video if you want to see it. I definitely hope you'll enjoy it!

stika: [...] enemy generic enemy [...]
That's my favorite U2 song. =P
"Now I'm a piece of meat fighting other pieces of meat."

I think humanity just found its slogan.
Whoah, I would love to play this version.
That was awesome, thanks for sharing!

I used to have this game, it's the only version I ever played, also the only title in the franchise. I didn't know you could alter the files like that, lol, that was hilarious, the video had me laughing out loud! xD
I love that your voice sounds so much like JonTron's Malkovich character! Good luck with your channel.

LOL that was funny! I have played the MS-DOS version, but I didn't realize you could easily change the game like that.

Damn Denuvo, trying to rob that kind of fun from us! "Anti-tamper" my ass! Anti-fun, I say.

Well, if you don't mind scouring abandonware websites, it's pretty easy to find.

Thank you! :D
Great video, dude! Congrats!
If only all games worked like this. And all the character files were interchangeable between all games. The world would be a happier place. Much sillier, yes, but happier.

no kidding! I love how easy it is to change these games
I played dos version of golden Axe when I was a kid and found something weird. On my 8088 pc, somewhere on a stage after some villagers run away, two Giants appeared.

I brought my copy to my friend's house and played it there on a better pc. At the same place those two Giants were replaced by 4/5 smaller enemies.

I find it interesting that the game seems to detect cpu and adjust the enemies accordingly
