Timboli: Be handy to have that, but though I have seen such comments in passing, no specific thread about it exists to my knowledge.

Sometimes that info is mentioned on the Demo page or in the forum section for the game and maybe externally elsewhere (i.e Wiki etc).

For sure, a bunch of demos do have differences or a map or level that ends up being left out of the full game.

kultpcgames: Yes, that would be very useful. Since I never play demos and always buy the game I'm interested in directly at a discount store, I don't know if I might be missing out on something fun or interesting. And I don't want simple demos without any additional content in my library.
I remember back then also Half Life (first title of the franchise) published a demo with such a "lost" level

He probably means Half-Life: Uplink, an original level designed to provide a snapshot of the full experience. It's what could be called a promotional, "shareware adventure." It's well worth playing, I would say.
