Just a quick pop in here, you can write your own material and still be a bubblegum band and you can have a team of writers and not be bubblegum because...ya know...bubblegum is a genre! And having a team of writers does NOT make you any less of a "real" musician than someone who wrote all of their own music, nor does writing all your own stuff make you a better musician, it just means you can write your own stuff! A solid singer who can't write their own music>A terrible singer who can write a solid song.
