I'm not going to argue with you or anyone else, though - I'll just keep my distance from "messes" like this thread has become (I'm not a neat freak, but I do like order, and to me personally, this thread is mixing things that are totally unrelated).
Not to pick on Cavalieroscuro in particular, but I can't help feeling a bit down when reading that someone asks for a GOG game on Steam in the "GOG community gifting thread". I know I'm fairly alone about it, but to me that's kind of a "fuck you GOG" in my ears.
Anyway, I don't particulary feel like part of the (old) "GOG community" anymore so I guess I better move aside to make room for the members of the new "GOG community" - you know, the one made up by gamers who doesn't really care as long as they get the games the want for as little money as possible..

We really should stick to only GOG games, you know. If you want steam games gifted to you, ask in steam forums?
Someone offering steam games here is another matter and perfectly acceptable, but asking for them here, I don't really approve. Not that my opinion matters that much in the end.
One other thing that really irks me, and I'm sure you'll hate me for this, but I don't understand people putting wishlists here that are 20+ games long. To me it sounds so much like begging and all.. Wishlists that are few games long are perfectly okay and helps the gifters, but...
I shall now back out to my corner, sit down and sway around humming twinkle twinkle little star..

As for 20+ lists; to me such lists also convey the feeling that they don't really care about the games that much. I mean, it's perfectly understandable to have a top three and no clue about which one of those is the most wanted (because of different genres or whatever), but not knowing what games out of 20 belongs in the upper and lower half?

I wasn't trying to argue, btw.....i'm just trying to discuss the issue(s) at hand with you. I hope I didn't come across as overly argumentative?
BTW, please clarify: How is gifting a game on a different site unrelated to gifting a game from this site? Both actions involve gifting games, just from different sites.
--------------------------
I think you're overreacting here, honestly.....just my honest opinion. As for Cavalieroscuro.........maybe he wants his game on Steam and not the GOG version for some reason. It doesn't mean he hates GOG or is telling GOG/us to f*** off just because he wants a game on a different site that GOG also sells.
--------------------------
Doesn't everyone want to save money? And who doesn't like getting something for nothing or close to it? Just because one holds such values doesn't make them a bad person, imo.

I agree with sticking to GOG only wishlists. Steam allows you to publicize your wishlist. GOG does not. If GOG gave us the ability to do so, I don't think this thread would even exist.

I'm sorry for making such sweeping remarks - I know very well that a lot of people here are here because, well, GOG is GOG and not just another DD company.

Not that you or anyone else have to "please" me, but personally I'd reacted a lot better if you'd posted that you wanted to play Syberia 2 and that you'd also accept it on Steam.
Yes, I'm probably overreacting and all. Doesn't really matter, though. I'll get my old arse off your lawn.
Yes, it apparently bothers me "that much", but no, I'm not going to do that. I don't have to gift anyone.
