Theres been success with donating blood from recovered patients. Just googled two links:

https://www.jci.org/articles/view/138003

https://www.newsweek.com/coronavirus-blood-inject-slow-disease-1492477

The blood of recovered coronavirus patients could be used to slow the spread of the virus, scientists at Johns Hopkins have said. The concept, known as "convalescent plasma," is based on the idea that antibodies in their blood could be used to boost the immunity of people newly infected, or those at higher risk of contracting it.

I'd imagine it'll be standard medical practice. Oh and theres some research based on small figures that type O people are less vulnerable and type A most vulnerable.

https://www.sciencefocus.com/news/blood-type-a-more-vulnerable-to-coronavirus/

People with blood type A may be more vulnerable to COVID-19, study claims.
Researchers found that of the 206 patients in the study who died, 85 had blood type A, equivalent to 41 per cent of all deaths.
Advice is still to wash your hands and follow the guidelines issued by authorities, whatever your blood type.

I have an A blood type, this sucks.
Midwest update 3:

Religious gathering places closed, theaters, hair salons, bars, restaurants, schools, universities, tattoo places, barber shops, gyms, bowling alleys, indoor parks or any kind, rec centers, fitness centers...

Grocery stores cannot stay stocked, bread cannot be found anywhere in 10 miles, milk is almost the same. meat and eggs have not been seen in a week. Still no toilet paper. Can goods are not available.. all "bin" style foods are restricted or not available. bulk items are removed or restricted. water pressure issues in large cities, power issues and network fluctuations happening with upstream data connections all over the midwest.

all people reporting to any work must have their temp checked, drive though emergency screenings in cities. Day-cares will be closing soon, liquor stores are next. street curfew being considered.

Blood type A highest risk, O is the lowest, if you take Ibuprofen while sick it will rapidly increase the infection and can kill a healthy child and/or young adult. thous at risk its basically suicide.

This is meaningless, at least until we have more data of the same type.

For instance, the sample amount isn't high enough to warrant truth, because there is a huge probability that these resulting numbers are still random (the conducted study acts as a single observation and you can't deduct anything from it other than this single observation). You gonna take at least take several countries into consideration, which means that many institutions must conduct the same study of a similar scale. The larger the sample sizes the more accurate the results become as well.
Italy corona virus deaths rise by record 475 in a day.

My condolences to all people who have lost their loved ones.
Italy we love you, stay strong!

KIS. Sometimes a video is better than 1000 words, and it also minimizes the clutter, or "walls of rants" as the phenomenon is called ;)

If we can replicate antibodies this is a better solution than literally infecting people with viruses (and other things)... that's pretty barbaric now that we're in the 21-century.

Still a little bit over a week until we can see the results of the worldwide self-quarantaining. Hopefully it helps. I know that chinese experts who helped people in Wuhan a month ago are now helping people in Italy as well.

Call me oldschool then, I miss the times of olde internet where people posted long walls of text and spending time to actually discussing things or even breaking things down. But yeah, posting a helpful video that explain some things can help a lot to add to the discussion so people are in a similar page, especially when it comes to very complex subjects that people will keep dissecting for years to come (like what happened after SARS 16 or so years ago).

Me too... but in those days there were a lot fewer people online, more nerdy/knowledgeable, fewer games, and had (usually) more time/patience to delve into it. Now everyone has digital ADHD (a condition there is no known vaccine for) :D

We will. Thank you.
Apparently, due to the elimination of traffic and tourism, the water in Venice canals is much clearer and fish, swans and even dolphins have returned there.

If anything, at least nature gets a break from humans for a change. As the saying goes, "everything bad is still good for something".

Starkrun: Religious gathering places closed
Isn't that against the bill of rights?

Or are they doing it voluntarily?

People/the govt are going overboard....yes, some such things are needed, but imo this is overkill.

Not overkill at all this is what needs to be done.
I opened Steam and this game was the first thing advertised to me: https://imgur.com/a/R739iTD

The program itself has a sense of humor.

I am genuinely curious and would like to know then: How many of your rights are you willing to give up and how long in the name of safety?

I agreed/agree some such measures are needed for a decent amount of time, but not for overly long periods or to such degrees as some countries are doing them(some might as well all be prisoners at this point).
=============================

To everyone else, the same question: How much are you willing to give up and how many of your own morals/principles are you willing to lessen/cast aside in the name of some extra safety? And for how long?
----------------------------------------------------

(I tell ya, the powers that be that want such controls are likely having a fun time of it right now....people are literally handing them over no questions asked, and for who knows how long)

Plus emissions from cars/trucks/etc is down, and energy usage as well(from businesses).....so a little light in the darkness, which is nice to see.
