procyoniv: I just got "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky" for free because of my recent purchases but I already have it in my account. Here's the code if you want it: HTFA89693FD98D . If not, pass it on.

Jacques
Thanks for the offer, but I'm pass the $20 mark and have it already

Just waiting for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.bundle to come up again, missed out was broke, same with the weekly humble bundle. but it will come around again.

all the best

TrevorWilliams: But why not just try it?
avatar
Vitek: Because I was afraid I will get charged full price.
Whatever it shows on the final payment screen before you hit 'confirm order' is the most it can charge you. It might cancel the order or try to adjust the price and make you confirm again, but it can't 'overcharge' you.
It'd be nice if we can choose from games in similar price range when it comes to freebies.
wooohooo

5:15 Epsom Downs – Win Blue Surf @ 20/1 GP (Price taken @ 12/1) Won

4th (19) Saoi 33/1

Where's the torrent of surprises, GOG?

bluesky777: Where's the torrent of surprises, GOG?
There isn't one. Surprise! ;)

But no, really - maybe some new nice game releases / publisher on Monday or Tuesday? That's my guess.

Starmaker: Great game, and the ending is really cool.

phaolo: Thanks for the description.
Some reviews, however, say that the game is quite unfair after half, because some monsters are op and require very specific builds. Has this been fixed?
Sorry, didn't see your reply.

Nah, character building has always been obvious. Everything is skill-based. Wearing powerful equipment requires points in a corresponding skill (the better the item, the higher the required skill level). Robes and staves suck in melee but greatly enhance spellcasting. So you're either a Warrior (armor skill to wear good armor, a weapon skill to wield good weapons of a specific type (so, swords and bows), Constitution, some supplementary magics) or a Wizard (robe skill, staff skill, all magic skills). The Potions skill is fun and immensely useful.

The higher the difficulty level, the more points you get (another reason to play on the highest level). Mercy invincibility is for noobs -- honestly, if you can't get roflswarmed to death, there's no real challenge, the lack of mercy invincibility is what requires aforementioned strategic thinking.

There's an item that gives one respec opportunity. Best of all, you can save points for later as you level and distribute them as necessary whenever you want.

Splatsch: Ok...I don't understand why they aren't permitiing to people who may want to upgrade to do so at sale price : that's a missed opportunity for everyone (customers and GOG). Well, sometimes you can't understand everything I suppose :P
Nor do I.
Maybe they're testing if they could sell more deluxe editions directly that way. But it feels like a punishment to the users who bought the regular edition of a game, even if they paid the full price then.
GOG sale vs your wallet.

LOL

+1
what i do find a little odd is a lot of the games i already have and what are on sale match up on discount percentage but the title value had dropped making it cheaper than when i purchased it?

the last 8 i checked were purchases in April/May and i understand they changed the rates for currency but at the same time i noticed a lot of increases by 30p to a £1 which doesn't explain how the RRP prices have all dropped in last month or so?

just strange thats all.

must be a new marketing strategy...who knows :)

some examples..

SAINTS ROW 2
GOG Summer Sale_________6 June 2015 >> (rrp £6.59) 59% = £2.69 correct price
My Previous Purchase_______11 May 2015 >> (rrp £6.79) 59% = £2.79 correct price
20p retail price difference yet £0.10p difference in end price??

SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD - THE FULL PACKAGE
GOG Summer Sale_________6 June 2015 >> (rrp £9.79) 65% = £3.39 ?? ... close....£3.42
My Previous Purchase_______11 May 2015 >> (rrp £10.19) 67% = £3.39 ....close again ..£3.36
previous purchase has higher rrp and percentage yet has the same outcome as the summer sale???

OUTLAST
GOG Summer Sale_________6 June 2015 >> (rrp £13.09) 79% = £2.69 ?? £2.75
My Previous Purchase_______14 April 2015 >> (rrp £13.59) 79% = £2.79 ?? £2.85
GOG Summer Sale price has 50p less than my previous purchase yet end result only £0.10p difference

COGNITION: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION
GOG Summer Sale_________ 6 June 2015 >> (rrp £9.79) 75% = £2.49 ?? should be £2.45
My Previous Purchase_______5 March 2014 >> (rrp £9.99) 80% = £1.99 correct.

summer prices seem a little Hickeldy pickeldy or my calculator is broke :/

still i am grateful for the sales GOG do but would like the calculations to at at least add up.

p.s sorry for any grammar/spelling errors :)

This sale is too wild for me to comprehend.
basically what i was trying to convey was i thought GOG had fixed Recommended Retail Prices (rrp) which stayed the same price no matter the period of time on gog books...once its been set to a specific currency such as euro or £ it was that for the duration and the only thing that changed was the discount percentage that was a variable.

if they can change the RRP at will then they are literally ripping up the handbook and going wild lol
Quite dissapointed that GOG choosed to give the Descent series a 75% discount now but not a a week ago.
Does buying games that aren't currently on sale during the promo count towards the bonus games? For instance, if I buy some of the new Star Trek games that are not on sale.
