I WAS going to buy quite a few games during the Christmas sale, but after witnessing you kneeling down in front of China, my money is now safe.

Not even at 90% discount, you're getting a penny from me.

The worse isn't even censoring Devotion. It's THE LIES! "Gamers" complained? Go fuck yourselves.

You give no respect, you deserve no respect.

You can also refuse to buy an iPhone or any product made by Apple. They removed all VPNs from the App Store in China at the "request / order" of the Chinese government. Also you will refuse to watch any movie made by the Disney company because they changed the ethnicity of the Ancient One character in Dr Strange to avoid offending the Chinese government. So no more Marvel or Star Wars movies for you. Shall I go on?

I never used Apple. Ever. In fact, I never even had a smartphone.

I haven't watched any Marvel or Star Wars movies, and have absolutely no interest in them, nor in any new Disney stuff.

I don't have an EPIC account, not even for the free games.

Yes, please. Do go on.

EDIT: In fact, it's cute how you think any of that stuff is essential, or something. It's all fluff. Completely unnecessary.

Already doing that.

I don't watch Disney shit either. Thankfully, the content is so bad it's not even worth watching for free.

Yes please. It saves me time and money to avoid these shitty corporations.

Another good example of something completely unnecessary. Blizzard isn't even Blizzard anymore.

The Blizzard everyone loves would never have released Warcraft III Reforged.

They were the guys who listened when people complained that their footage of StarCraft was like "WarCraft II in space", went back to the board and designed a game that is still loved by most gamers.

These new guys just ask you if you have a phone. Yeah, no thanks.

(Like I said, no, I don't have a smartphone. :D)

This is going to be a very long list. Do you know how many companies do business in China? If you intend to boycott every company that does business in China then you can start by switching off your computer and never using it again. Because Microsoft does a hell of a lot of business here and like every company that does business in China it obeys the orders of the Chinese government.

I said this in another thread but let me make it clear again. The Chinese Communist Party is in complete control in China. The CCP is a ruthless authoritarian government. They tolerate no dissent nor even the slightest criticism. If you think Trump had a thin skin then you ain't seen nothin. The CCP will punish any person or company for the slightest offence, even if unintentional. The reality is no company can do business in China without following the dictates of the CCP.

China is a huge market and the government knows it. They know how much power they have and they are not afraid to use it.

If you want to pass a purity test of not using any company's product or having anything to do with any company that is prepared to give in to the CCP then you might as well live in a cave. It would be a much shorter list of telling you which company's products you can use. The only ones I can think of that have refused to give in to the CCP are Google and The New York Times, both of which were punished by being banned in China. Virtually every large company does business in China.

Oh, by the way, if you refuse to buy games on gog, don't think you can go to Steam. Steam has already sold itself to the Chinese government. You can buy games on Steam buy you can't use the Steam forums. The Steam forums are on a different web address and are blocked in China. But did Steam refuse to do business in China because of that? Of course not! Steam is here in China and tolerates the actions of the government. So not Gog or STeam for you.

Yes, I am aware of all that. I'm also very aware that even the smallest piece of plastic I buy is made in China, so I cannot possibly ever completely boycott China. That's true.

HOWEVER, I can AND WILL make a stand when Western companies not only buckle to China, but also outright blatantly insult their customers by lying to them, as if we're all retarded.

So no, no Disney, no Marvel, no Blizzard, no Apple, no Epic, none of those for me, thanks.

They're not necessary. In fact, they're so not necessary, I won't even pirate their stuff.

As for the rest, I do try to keep consumerism to a minimum. Hell, I don't even use credit. I do what I can, bro.

At least Steam didn't cancel a game's release just because CCP don't like it.

Listen galaxy brain, if enough people stand up to this kind of shit, maybe, JUST MAYBE, these corporations will start to realize there's enough profit to be made elsewhere.

This mentality of having the cake and eating it too has to stop. You CAN survive without China.

Falling in line will lead you nowhere.

it's good to hurt companies like gog because if they get hurt for supporting china, then other companies might get the idea that sucking chinese dick is bad for business in the long run
