This has probably been addressed in some other thread already (I noticed the fix quite some time ago), but since I have no clue in which other thread it may have been addressed (ironically, searching for "forum search" only brought up complaints about the forum search not working), I'll simply do my own "thank you!" thread for it:

Thank you, unknown GOG staffer(s)!
For fixing the forum search.

For years, only one-word-searches were possible.
Now, we can finally conduct multiple-word-searches (again):

I know, you guys get a lot of backlash over just about anything, so - for once - I want to express my appreciation for something done right.

Thank you!

Huh. Now aint that a thing.
I'm amazed and positively surprised that they fixed it. Didn't think that day would come.

BreOl72, thank you for bringing attention to this. Locating threads with specific phrases will be much easier! (^_^)

I implore the responsible GOG party to explain (with every minute detail remaining intact) exactly how they had rectified this long-standing issue.

It had been a rather irritating curiosity as to why the forum search function had not been programmed in such a manner as to properly interpret the space character (previously, it would automatically replace instances of it with the encoded %20 ...not only within the URL (which is perfectly valid), but, also within the input field).

Yay! Good news as thinking of a single word to search with and then going through pages upon pages of results in what looks like random order was no great joy.

That was me :D And sure, it took just a single str_replace() in the right place to fix it ;)

Not a complaint. A curiousity. Anything else getting fixed?

(^_^) Thank you for inserting the appropriate PHP function. Having zero experience with PHP, I am a bit envious, as the standard C library does not possess a similar built-in function.

This (now fixed) issue (among others that have been resolved, as of late), and the https://www.gog.com/blastfromthepast/ page (awesome, by the way), are some of the special ingredients that aid in restoring hope in the future of GOG.

It is my wish that GOG does its best to ensure your long-term happiness. You, along with other employees, are indispensable assets. Please, continue your great work.

They have fixed numerous issues already (purple dot included), some issues haven't been widely reported, due to getting them sorted quickly.

Usually they are fighting with the gog-bear, so that gog-chan can shine on.
Thank you to improve the forum and the site. Sometimes are for the better, other times are a little worst, other times fixing things other parts broke. But it is always a good thing seeing that people works.

It took more than that: first and foremost the will to fix it, where other have neglected it for years. Thank you for oiling these squeaky hinges :).

Any chance you might use your skills to fix the problem of the GOG website replacing ampersand symbols in all of the user reviews on GOG with strange symbols that the authors never wrote?

The problem has been festering on GOG ever since they wrecked the website for the 10th Anniversary sale. And no one on GOG ever fixes it.

Can't promise a fix there (mostly because of my team backlog), but I'll at least take a look at this
