I agree with others here: the game probably doesn't sell well enough.

Add to that the fact that GOG apparently waits for devs/publishers to send an invoke for their revenues, instead of bringing that process to modern standards, by automatically transferring the revenues monthly (or quarterly, semi-annually, annually) to the devs/publishers accounts.

As absurd as that sounds...they may even have forgotten, that they sell the game here.

ReynardFox: Terminator: Resistance has gone on sale, once, ever, and only with a paltry discount in the entire time it's been on GOG.

It regularly gets discounted on Steam, it gets down to reasonable prices, but on GOG, never.

It's a game I really would like, but it's become a point of principle that I'm not buying it until the Publisher actually shows they haven't flat out abandoned this place.
They have released DLC for it here so what points to it being abandoned?

The reason why the game doesn't sell on GOG is because they never discount it on GOG, whereas they do on Steam.

GOG customers, generally speaking, aren't going to pay vastly more money for the same game solely because it's on GOG. Doing that would be a major ripoff, and most people aren't willingly going to participate in allowing themselves to be ripped off.

If Terminator: Resistance had been put on regular sales, as it should have been, then no doubt it would have sold tons of copies (in terms of GOG's standards) on a regular basis, similar to how the Warner Brothers games that are on GOG usually go to near the top of the best-selling list whenever they are put on a large discount.

In other words, by not discounting their game on GOG, Reef Entertainment are themselves the ones who are directly causing themselves to have very few sales on GOG, which is not in their best interests.
A smaller userbase/sales is why GOG often gets screwed over by publishers. GOG isn't going to generate big revenue like Steam, but Reef Entertainment not giving discounts for the GOG version is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Outside of low base prices and delistings, there is little reason to buy games at full price.

They can probably afford discounts at the other place because of the number of copies sold there. The offline installers are the only reason I paid full price here.

EnforcerSunWoo: Perhaps it would do good for more people to contact Reef Entertainment about it. Sooner or later you would think that they would take the hint. What really burns me is that it is drm free on Steam after installation. So there really is no reason whatsoever for them not to allow us the same discounts on occasion here.

Do you have a source for the DRM free steam installation claim?

A side note:

I purchased the game in December 2019 via gog with a 25% discount.

Years ago i watched a review from Jim Sterling a while back, he spoke how they were given a very low budget and how the devs put as much work into the game and opportunity given, giving a halfway decent game all things considered...
I guess the silver lining here is that thanks to this discussion I only now realized the game has received DLC here, so I just bought the DLC (had the base game already). Yeah, without discount, whatever...

Just in case they pull the game from the store because people here are demanding a discount, or else... :)

Could go the other way too though, now that I bought the DLC, maybe they now realize hey the game is getting sales in GOG so why not put it to a -95% discount!!! In which case I become annoyed of course because I just bought the DLC for a full price so I demand a refund, after which they become "hey what is this, the GOGgers don't want to buy the game after all?" and cancel the discount and pull the game from the store!

It is a vicious cycle, I tell you...

Bought it about a month ago for full price, I became tired of waiting.

I spent about the same amount for the XIII remake ... the money for Terminator was spent much better :)

But yeah, I find it very unfair, that there are so many devs that put their games here and then ignore them completely.

The fact they originally didn't, and it wasn't until GOG users reached out to Teyon, the actual developer of the game, that Reef was convinced to do so.

Also the complete lack of discounts in literal years while it gets regular ones on other platforms.

Teyon seem like good guys, it's the publisher that's the problem.

ReynardFox: Well I've gone and sent a letter to them, not that I think it will do any good, but I at least tried.
I have yet to hear anything back from them. Not going to hold my breath on that as Reef was very dismissive about the base game even being here when people were pushing for the dlc to launch on GOG over a year ago. Even to the point of Teyon pushing to get it released, although without a launch thread, as if they didn't want it to be known that it was even released here. That also includes no discount on the base game when the dlc finally did launch here.

The base game seems to get pretty regular discounts on Steam and PSN of 60% off with the dlc getting 40%. Wouldn't discounting the game here at the same rate be more profitable than not selling it at all? Seems like they cannot be bothered with it. Almost like they have some sort of grudge or vendetta against GOG, it's userbase or both.
