It's shit in so many ways, but at least it's not a sand or snow desert. Decreasingly. It's something that has up- and downsides.
I'm quite a meticulous person.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
Most people tend to be overcritical about their own countries without realizing no place is perfect.
Italy, for example, is terrible at some things, but if you travel enough you'll see that any country has its problems. We tend to see only the worst things and we are blind to the good ones. For example, we have a pretty decent health care, compared to other countries, but everyone here is obsessed with our issues and fails to see it.
We are actually one of the first countries in the world by life expectancy, but everyone is too angry to appreciate it.
It is absolutely right to be critical and to work to spread the light on other people on how corrupted and malevolent our countries are, but we should never forget why we do this, and that's because we love the good things in our homelands, which is why we would want to make them better places to live in.

It's really not possible to generalize about this country. It's big and diverse, contrary to what some people in the country might think.

On the other hand, the "None" religion is one of the fastest growing religions, especially among young people.

Being a convinced agnosticist myself, i can't honestly picture it as a bad thing.

Me neither (though I identify as an atheist myself).

It seems like foreigners/tourists are always the quickest to point out how nice your country is. I feel like there's some sort of lesson to be learned from this.
Neither was mine. I was just talking about the majority.
I'm a Christian myself. Just as long as we all don't start hating on each other about our differences as usual, the statistics don't really matter to me.

Well, if you read the OP, he mentioned mostly hillarious, cliched or downright absurd traits, but regardless, its probably the negative traits that come to mind first in the troubled times we live in.

I think the fastest growing religion is the corporate market economy.
Everybody believes in it blindly and does not question it.
It is above human life and well-being, above the survival of the species, above everything.
You dont question the need for large corporations to prosper and you dont question your government giving them all your tax money if they are in trouble.
If you or your family get sick because of the pollution they create, you accept it graciously as a will of god and a necessary sacrifice on the way to "progress".....even if deep inside you suspect that said progress is actually profit not progress.

Greed has risen from a sin to an ideology, hasn't it?
It's only logical, that modesty has fallen from the status of a virtue to become a sin.
