GOG, why are you charging $16.99 for Sunblaze when it's only $14.99 on Steam and itch.io?

GOG doesn't set prices. Talk to the dev.

GOG is responsible for their store whether they personally set the prices or not. If GOG sees that their store's base price for a game is higher than elsewhere, they should be contacting the dev/publisher to fix that. I'm tired of how fixing GOG's issues always seems to fall down upon the customers, as seen with how many "second-class citizen" problems are solved when customers contact the devs/publishers. This is GOG's job, not ours.

Come on, the diff is 2usd... if that is very important to you, with al due respect, buy it then on Steam / itch.io...
You said No? Why not?
(And happily: You answered yourself...)

It's not a matter of $2, it's a matter of principle (something all too few people these days seem to concern themselves with...). There's no good reason why it should cost more to buy the same game here than it does elsewhere, and GOG shouldn't have the attitude of just letting devs/publishers treat their store/customers poorly. Yet we see this all the time on here, often in much worse ways. Why someone would defend or excuse this is beyond me.

No they shouldn't. No store does this. There's nothing that says all prices everywhere must be the same in all stores, and GOG can barely run their own store without trying to track prices and match them on other stores. You will get far better results from talking to the dev and/or publisher, who probably made a mistake and isn't aware.
If you decide to ask the devs about it, the game's Twitter profile has DMs open and they link the publisher's Discord group in the profile's bio:

Maybe since it is drm free probably fee is extra. Or, maybe the pricing regional or something is the issue.

Bumping this thread because the forum is now the only chance of contacting GOG without going through a bot first. :^)

GOG, please do contact the dev/publisher about this rather than expecting your customers to do your work for you. You have a bot now, that should free up plenty of time!
