It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

It turns out that when you try to contact Support via "Contact Us" button on support pages, you get redirected to that stupid bot instead of contact forms. I don't see any obvious way to just open a ticket. After some useless answers from the bot you are however asked to provide your email address.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but what the heck?
Seems like it... So first disable the my activities page so you can't track anymore unless you save each link, then automatically close tickets unless the user replies to the automated reply to reopen, now this?
Also, why do you need to provide e-mail if you're signed in?
Anyway, sent a ticket asking just this, what happened to the form. And why's the text in the input box in Polish.
Customer support takes too much resources so anything to make it harder to bother them.

You can't contact companies because they are deliberately ceasisg communication with end users, by design. No one on the inside has yet explained this. Most wokist type liberals seem to think they "don't need no one"

It works for me (just tested) and i didn't do something special, aside to click on the button to log-in on support pages (top right, if i read properly what you did)

1 - select a category
2 - at the bottom left, you should have a button "contact us" in "others questions" (click on it)
3 - then an almost blank page should be displayed : with categories at the top (select one)
4 - at this point : you should have access to a form for writing your ticket

Yeah sure : it's clunky....well you know it's the way how GOG does things ...

But, don't expect an answer rapidly.

Also since i made a ticket a few days ago (and i suppose it's stil the case) : if you manage to write a ticket a bot will answer you (because of the high numbers of tickets) for more informations...

Can't say / help more...

Thanks for trying to be helpful, but I do know how support and creating tickets on GOG work. ;)
At least how it used to work, because in my case the system changed from forms, where you selected categories and problem type from drop down menu, to chat with a bot. And the new system is far from intuitive.

Well sorry, i didn't realize the year you joined GOG (my post would have been different).... So let's see...

I think i found why it's works for me but not for you : i use the french language page, i think you use another language.
I tried the english page ; and i got the bot too...so it's probably dues to the numbers of tickets... there're probably less tickets created in french (that's the only explanation which comes in my mind)

Even just selecting english (top right drop down menu) triggers the bot.

ofc, that doesn't change the issue at hand :-/ , unless you understand my native language.

Thanks to you I discovered an awful truth! The form is there but they hid it using CSS. facepalm

Edit:
This bit of CSS brings back forms and gets rid of the bot.

div[data-default-form] {
display: block !important;
}

div[data-chat-wrap] {
display: none;
}

ah, right, all others languages work fine, so i don't know if it's intentional or not... but it seems logicial, it should have more tickets in english... One possibiliy is : the bot is trigerred after some amount of tickets...

And like you demonstrated, i believe it's intentional .... :-X

Thanks for this bit of sleuthing.
Does indeed make it look like something they hacked together quickly before the expected flood of requests coming with the sale...

it's a rogue employee and it is intentional. you have to change code to have something different show up, literlaly.

you can still just email support@gog.com. of course, you have to be specific in all your info, but when i needed a refund on a game earlier this year (wouldnt work on either system - even with fixes) i got a quieck response (unlike my still open ticket right now).
