Yeah, I feel like I have a decent read of scammery, and so far, this guy isn't reading like that to me, but of course only time will tell. He seems genuinely confused, and, come on, you guys gotta be honest, we DO tend to be paranoid and unfriendly to outsiders sometimes.

Lashing out and being rude, whether the person was rude to you to begin with or not, doesn't win you any friends, especially when you don't know what's going on.

For what it's worth, I should also mention that you got tricked by Kleetus, and should ignore him altogether if you're wise. I'm sure you've seen your share of trolls on the Steam forums? Well, he's one of the worst. TinyE, although having his fair share of faults, is actually a very respected member of this community. Kleetus is just a troll who enjoys attempting to stir up trouble anywhere he can. Not a word he says should ever be taken seriously.

MarkoH01: Please tell me where on steam I will find the gifting threads (and I don't mean the "this has been given away for free so I give it to others")? GOG has several gifting threads and giveaways. When I was new I hardly could believe that there are at all people who would just give away games. I learned in one of the insomnia sales that gifting can be fun and during this sale people actually where fighting to give away their gifts (my gift was rekected twice because the person already was gifted). That is when I realized that people here actually do care for each other. Again, please tell me anything just remotely similar on steam. The people on steam mostly don't care and steam/valve itself will never care.

Edit: btw: I DO use steam so I KNOW what I am talking about. But look what happens now, I can say "shit" and it is not censored. Yes, on steam they censor everything and GOG respects their community. Just one of many examples why GOG is great.

You asked for a game and you were told that it is gone. Normally one would say "oh, that is sad" and in this case maybe another user would have written you a chat to hook you up. But your response was "so I don't get anything?" as if you were entitled to get something. Even now tinyE gave you a key so that you have something (it does not matter if the according game was for free or not) and now you are calling tinyE a dick and this community toxic. And you still wonder why you are getting downrepped? Don't worry, I don't downrep anybody but I can understand why this happened to you.

I haven't see such a thread off hand (though there's many I haven't seen) & since it'd be helpful to have a review of the 9 or 10 wrappers you can use on old games I'd probably accumulate rep faster.

First off, Steam has groups for that, it's not aloud in the forums for many reasons that I will not go into right now.
Secondly, "So I don't get anything?" is not what I said. I was responding to tinyE's noob jab with "Does that mean I can't get anything?" because I'm new (I was wondering if I was even aloud to participate in this thread). tinyE's "free" key for a "free" game was just another jab at me being a noob, and I just repeated what other people had said about him being a dick. I called this community toxic because of the jabs and the preying on noobs. Jeez, I'm tired of arguing with you people, I thought this was over. XP

It was new to me that steam actually has gifting groups. I know of groups for certain games and of course the trading community but I never saw gifting groups or threads. Well, if I am wrong here then scratch this argument.

You are aware that this is just an interpretation of what tinyE did or said and especially WHY he said this? Maybe you just felt unsecure because of being new here and when you were attacked (not the right word but you know what I mean) you assumed that it could only be because you are new here. It's your interpretation and I am quite sure that it's not the real reason. I already told you how I saw this and nobody could have known that "Does that mean I can't get anything" was in fact meaning "Does that mean I can't get anything if I am new?". So this might just be a misunderstanding.
