u2jedi: They're finished. They should probably apply at their local grocery stores for work.
Hurricane0440: I don't think one bad game should be the cause for the entire studio to shut down. Although this one is a bit of a letdown for me, especially given that it was meant to be a continuation of the Arkham series, I really hope the studio gets back up and releases something a bit better.
While I wouldn't think one game would sink Rocksteady, it all depends on how much current WB Games values their studio; with the current world economy and WB Montreal in the development mix, I don't think Rocksteady's future is guaranteed. Hopefully they get another go at bat.
Just a sad state with so many devs either ceasing development or on the bubble. But many recent disasters would seemingly have been averted with closer surveys of their fans / customers. Certainly does seem like older devs who knew what the customers wanted (mass appeal) have either moved on or been minimized in the production process.
 From an ideological bent...
... sure does seem strange that so many games (and movies, tv shows, etc.) are recently determined to either kill or undermine heroes. While I'm all for experimenting with the formula, this is happening so often across media -- as canon no less (no Elseworlds here, it's canon!) -- that it feels like modern creators hate heroes. And while I like a good anti-hero from time-to-time, burning down the old for the new -- and losing fans / customers in the process -- seems foolhardy for a AAA industry that needs mass appeal / sales. Anyway...
... Rocksteady must have known how this narrative would be received (let alone the gameplay / genre) yet they brought the game to market anyway. And unlike a game like Gollum -- where development experience was as limited as their budget -- WB and Rocksteady have loads of both. They had to have known where this was going... yet went there anyway. Oh well...
