CARRiON.FLOWERS: No, my suggestion was in my original post, which was GOG should enforce devs to patch their games, or after a certain period of time it's in risk of being taken off the store until it gets patched. Period. This is for the large cases where other stores have gotten lots of patches causing the GOG version to be very behind and outdated.
They shouldn't take it off the store, but there should be a big warning nearby to the "Buy" button. And they shouldn't allow additional games from that developer or publisher until the problem is fixed (unless it's a problem with a single game and the publisher/developer is updating all other games).

One month is not a problem in my opinion, but more than 3 months should be punished.

Oddworld New 'n' Tasty isn't out of date after all according to GOG:

our version of Oddworld contains the patches you linked, the changelog is just formulated in a different way.
(email)

It's odd that the changelog only has version 1.3, but have to believe GOG.
Please remove the game for now.

fronzelneekburm: Missing bonus content? Other platforms got a better deal?
I would remove games with better deals from the list. A lot of games have different prices or different deals/bundles on different platforms. Everyone can check this before buying on GOG.

I don't care and gladly pay a litte bit extra for DRM free releases. DRM free releases are not the same product and it's okay to sell them at a different price in my opinion.

Missing online features also should not be listed, as long a the missing online features are mentioned in the description or identified by using a different product name.

The list should show the real problems like missing patches (>6 weeks) instead of being cluttered by those minor issues. At least they should be in a separate GOG mix.

fronzelneekburm: [..] "Why the fuck should I even bother?"
Gog sure as shit don't bother. [..]
The customers sure as hell don't bother [..]
Please, bother for some of us.
Your list is very useful (expecially via Magog) to avoid crappy devs who abandon their games here.

Ok, I can understand that..

Maybe “Punch Club” should be added: Game Forum and German Forum: Antwort von tinyBuild

Agreed, and also one has to take into account regional pricing. Is it always a bad deal for me if Russians can get the same game cheaper?

Also what should trigger that "bad deal"? Someone claimed in the Civilization release thread that he bought Civilization 4 from Steam years ago for $3 (and suggested people are stupid for buying it now from GOG for a higher price)... but when I checked it, the Steam default price for Civ 4 Complete is considerably higher than the default price in GOG. So at least at the moment the game is considerably cheaper in GOG, for me.

Sure it is possible the Civ 4 Complete has been really discounted that deep in Steam at some point... but it isn't at the moment, and logic says the GOG version will get deep discounts at some point too.

I think you can put Don't Starve on the list. I think it is justified. The text is like this:
"Multiplayer is only available in Don't Starve Together, which is Steam-only. GOG is limited to Don't Starve Alone"

Yes, its called like this for a reason. I find this shame. Game is very brilliant, but the "second class" is written all over the behavior. Multiplayer aka DST is steam-only.

Best regards.
INFLUX has a several bugs that could prevent of finishing a level:

This also appears to the GOG version. The Steam Version got a beta patch which solved the problem, the GOG version not. I asked the developer in 2014 to release this patch also here on GOG, but no answer so far.

Added Punch Club to the list.

Don't Starve is a name that keeps popping up. If I remember correctly, I decided against including it due to Don't Starve Together basically being its own separate game.

I'll go send a mail to the Influx dev later and ask if he's got a more up-to-date version at hand. From what I can tell, this game never received any updates here, is that correct?

"Bad deal" isn't really referring to pricing issues. Check out the list and you'll see that "bad deal" is usually triggered by very overt plain fucking over of the gog clientele.

Specifically:

- Going on a YUUUUUGE PR blitz about how gog secured an EXCLUSIVE deal with the developer of some timeless classics. Gog then proceeds to release one game every few weeks for $6, while the complete collection of games suddenly shows up on Steam for $10. Then the dev (or whoever is in charge of it's rotting carcass) goes on to promise that this was totally the evul publisher's fault and that things will be set right for gog customers. Instead keep selling those games at $6 and cease releasing any more titles, leaving gog buyers out in the cold. Thanks, Cinemaware!

- Offering an EXCLUSIVE pre-order deal and then dump the game at the PWYW tier in a Humble Bundle with tons of Humble-exclusive bonus content. Thanks, Anamita!

- Releasing a game on gog and then offer it at 90% off on Humble literally the next day. Thanks again, Anamita!

If that's not treating gog customers as second class, I don't know what is.

The closest title on the list in regards to the kind of pricing issues you refer to would be Mirror's Edge. And that one is primarily there because of the missing time trials, the pricing is just icing on the cake.

Gengar78: The point is to make sure that the updates finish being "in the works" as soon as possible.

Gydion: OK. I don't understand how the wish helps with that though.
Because it's better than nothing? I mean, all the wishes don't really "help" with anything outside of just pointing at what we want.

I'd forgotten the game was on GOG.
But I guess so have the devs.

But how does this affect future buyers? If I take a look at the list now, this will not help me in my buying decision. Price changes and deals happen all the time, so I don't see the benefit of cluttering the list with problems or bad treatment from the past.

Will it be a punishment for the developer if I buy his game or some bundle on Steam or Humble Bundle instead, because he ripped off some early adopters on GOG? If DRM free GOG releases are not important to me, I will always do a price comparison before buying. And if I prefer GOG releases, high prices for early adopters from the past will not prevent me from buying the game on GOG now.

My main concern is that the list is getting too long and hides problems that are still relevant.

I'd like to clarify about game updates.

Let's suppose that a game on Steam and GOG has version 1.0.1 at launch. A minute later it gets the 1.0.2 patch on Steam which fixes integration issues with Steamworks. How would that fare with this GOGMix?

Now the same gets another update, 1.0.3, to also fix more Steamworks integration issues, but it is only mentioned in the changelogs as vague 'bugfixes.' How would that go with the GOGmix?

Just something I was curious about, mainly what if the missing patches/updates are not required to improve the gameplay itself but rather to fix issues where Steam or a similar DRM client is involved which do no affect the DRM-free version.
