"Stronghold: Definitive Edition Reveal!

Greetings sire! Your stronghold awaits you. The original Stronghold reached its 20th anniversary recently and to celebrate we are thrilled to announce Stronghold: Definitive Edition! Carefully rebuilt using the source artwork, remastered music, returning voice talent and veteran developers of the first entry in this legendary series, Stronghold: Definitive Edition releases on November 7th for PC.

Stronghold: Definitive Edition invites players to relive the glory of the original BAFTA-nominated game remade with new visuals, missions and siege scenarios. This latest entry in the ‘castle sim’ series features the original game’s classic military and economic campaigns, together with an entirely new 14 mission narrative campaign. This is alongside extra single player content in the form of a 10 mission ‘Castle Trail’, which sees players either defend or besiege historical castles such as Warwick, Dunnottar and Marksburg."

The article has the word ''steam'' 3x it in it. ''Coming on steam'' ''Steam Multiplayer'' ''Steam workshop''

Yeah... I think it's clear what the chances of this rehash coming to GoG is. :/
If Firefly can't be arsed to do it themselves, they could always hand it over to a third party porting studio like General Arcade, who just so happen to specialise in platform-to-platform porting, including multiplayer-related functionality.

This will mean we get shafted out mod support?

oh yeah when it comes here in 2+ years.
I'd be fine with a sort of GOG edition that on release just contains the singleplayer content, for example.
Once it's ported the multiplayer portion could then be patched in at a later date, wouldn't be the first time either.

I'd really like to see someone who knows how to do these sort of things start to make DLC or patches that enable a lot more LAN multi-player.

I hate trying to compete with 12 year olds with no life and 45 year olds still living in their parents basements.

And that's really not just Stronhold but for all the MMO's

That doesn't mean much. Whenever, for example, 3DRealms advertises their games on social, they ALWAYS mention Steam and almost never GoG. But still, almost all of their published games are on GoG. It's like they hate it to release here but they still do.
Waiting for GOG release. I am not rushing.

My Stronghold games are all here, not going to buy in Steam shop anymore.

Vice versa, moving my game collection from Steam to GOG.
Hi,

This is very nice, thanks for sharing the information.
