drinnen: This reminded to have a look at humble books deals, because although they a lot they seem to only send me emails on ones they know I will definitelky not be interested in.

Currently they have Humble Stars of Sci-Fi Summer by Draft2Digital 35 items for $insertlocalpricehere (plus 11 item, 4 item price levels). It says 35 items but it is way more than that since there are many omnibus type books, including a couple of 7 book items. There is some overlap with storybundle bundles as there are a few of the story bungle regulars, including the first 3 of Rusch Diving Universe and Blaze Ward's Science Officer Omnibus. Quite Tempting.
Thanks for always keeping us up to date. I forgot humble has the odd good book deal (the R.A.Salvatore bundle a fair while back for peanuts was one such one)
The Ghosts And Apparitions Bundle

Blurb:

It isn't a requirement to believe in ghosts to enjoy a good ghost story. Most of us have wondered what happens after this life, and what better way to explore the infinite possibilities than by reading the imaginative takes writers have on the topic. I have long been drawn to tales of ghosts and hauntings: starting with early reads, such as Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House and Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights, to later stories like Toni Morrison's Beloved or Isabel Allende's House of Spirits.

The books in this bundle are purposefully wide-ranging in tone as well content. From the hopefulness and redemption of Keith Rosson's Smoke City and J.S. Breukelaar's The Bridge, to the gut-wrenching devastation of Gabino Iglesias's Coyote Songs and Andrew Cull's Remains. From the poignant prose of Mary Rickert's stories to the masterful storytelling styles in William Meikle's The Ghost Club. If you like tales of the supernatural, then we think that this selection will have something that appeals to everyone.

$5

Hauntings edited by Ellen Datlow (short stories)
The Bridge by J.S. Breukelaar
Remains by Andrew Cull
Bayou Whispers by R.B. Wood

$20

Coyote Songs by Gabino Iglesias
You Have Never Been Here by Mary Rickert (short stories)
Smoke City by Keith Rosson
Into Bones Like Oil by Kaaron Warren
The Crying Forest by Venero Armanno
The Ghost Club by William Meikle (short stories)

Ghosts don't make series. Doesn't seem like a single series book in this one.

The Renegades of Tomorrow Bundle

Blurb:

Why do rule-breakers and rogues intrigue us? Perhaps because we know the rules often need changing. Meet thirteen reluctant heroes of all types as they face an unjust system and find they can't leave well enough alone. Then join each of our carefully selected renegades on their thrilling adventure to make things right, one way or another!

We were fascinated and inspired by a determined cop who risks the wrath of her AI superiors to save her mentor from a ruthless crime boss in In The Paradise Factory. We were moved by the story of an illegal cyborg fighting to survive in Ternary and nanotech addict struggling to recover in ACHE. We reveled in tales of prison revolts, steam punk adventure, sci-fi espionage, underworld intrigue, and of entire galaxies standing on the brink of war in this exciting and varied look at the difference one person can make when they dare to say "not on my watch."

The Eldritch Chills Bundle

Blurb:

I've curated a crypt full of creepy books about elder gods, ghosts, slimy monsters, ominous entities, and the brave souls who fight them—fourteen books in all in the Eldritch Chills StoryBundle. Even Cthulhu would be proud!

Let's start out with some classics, The Cthulhu Stories of Robert E. Howard—the creator of Conan also wrote in H.P. Lovecraft's grand creation, and these are his stories, collected in one volume. You'll also love the anthology The Gods of Lovecraft, edited by Aaron J. French, for more about those awful beings from beyond time and space. Cults of Death and Madness by John Haas is a frightening Victorian adventure of ancient idols, blood-sacrifice cults, and Elder Gods, while The Burning Time by JG Faherty is a more modern take on Cthulhu-inspired monsters in the town of Hastings Mills.

$5

The Ghost of Mackey House by R.A. Johnson
The Burning Time by JG Faherty

Norse Mythology

Blurb:

When I was a kid, way back in elementary school, we learned about Greek and Roman mythology in school. It was one of my favourite subjects and after learning about it during class time I sought out and devoured every book I could find about it. We never learned anything about Norse mythology, though. When I, eventually, stumbled upon it myself many years later I became as entranced as I had with Greek and Roman mythology. Perhaps more so.

It could be that everything is so big, so exaggerated. I mean, there are literal giants. And snakes as big as the world. And personalities as uncontainable as Loki's, or Odin's. I love the valkyries, fierce and powerful, the twist on zombies that are draugr, Yggdrasill – the tree which holds the whole universe – and Bifrost, the aurora coloured bridge that spans between them. The people and things and the land, they all really intrigue and fascinate me.

$5

Loki - The Mischief Behind the Legend by Padraic Colum (short stories)
The Lost Sun by Tessa Gratton (Gods of New Asgard-1)
One in the Hand by Rhonda Parrish
The Songweaver's Vow by Laura VanArendonk Baugh

The Witches, Wands and Wanderers Bundle

Blurb:

I've always loved tales about witches. Good witches, evil witches, modern or ancient. Any sort of story you can imagine, you can probably place a witch in it, and improve it. (At least in my opinion!)

However, for this bundle, I've limited the genre to primarily contemporary fantasy. I wanted the reader to be able to binge on a whole bunch of different takes on witches in the modern day.

The Hollywood Horror Bundle

Blurb:

Ah, Hollywood! The glitz, the glamour – the monsters! For Halloween this year I thought it would be fun to collect books with some connection to Tinseltown – whether by actors, screenwriters, books about the movies or those in development to become films and TV shows. It's a mixed bag of fabulous! But all of it unsettling in some way. As the nights draw long and the frost settles on the windows and the wind howls mercilessly outside, what better time to settle down with a blanket and read some tales dark and grim?

So join me as we take a tour through worlds of ancient rockets and the devil, black and white monsters and deep hidden fungus, of vampires, fire-breathing giant lizards, horror film survivors and, of course, a dinosaur detective. Here is a mixture of novels and intelligent non-fiction, anthologies and novellas – the full gamut of the field spelled out in stars against a silver screen.

War is Heck.

Also runs longer than you expect, usually at least 3 books, mostly more.
The Gaslamp Fantasy Bundle

Blurb:

Take, first, a liberal dose of historical manners and mores: the grit and stench of a Victorian gutter, perhaps; the decorous charm of an eighteenth-century drawing room; the glitter and glamour, the depravity and decay of an era lit by gas light.

Add, then, the dazzle of sorcery or witchcraft, or the weirdness of the supernatural. Or, perhaps, heavy measures of both. Season with a dash of dragon, or something a little bit fey.

Mix. Bake.

Gaslamp fantasy is the result. Regency romps riotous with mages and werewolves. Psychics and dastardly dukes, vampires and Victorians. Ghosts and ghouls and Edwardian ballrooms.

The Beyond Weird Bundle

Blurb:

Something doesn't feel quite right. The world around you seems a little…off. Things turn strange and fluid, as if you're trapped inside a dream…but you aren't. Something about you might have changed in a fundamental way that you sense but can't understand.

Let Ramsey Campbell, impresario extraordinaire of dark fiction, throw you headfirst into the realm of weird horror with an H.P. Lovecraft flavor. Superstar Kelly Link will guide you through tales of weird fantasy laced liberally with magic, and the bizarre fables of master craftsmen Will Ludwigsen and Charles Payseur will make your head spin. Unique trips through diverse cultures await in the dazzling stories of Craig Gidney and Mia Tijam, while screenwriter Philip Fracassi will drive you down some of the darkest roads you've ever traveled. Renowned author of Gothic-tinged weird, Elizabeth Hand, will turn her personal muse loose in beautifully horrific ways, as Jeffrey Thomas dumps a bucket of weird science fiction all over your concept of social constructs and civilization. Then there's a book about a pinstriped finger cruising through multiple alternate realities, a novel that's as much a twisted metaphor for literary trends and tropes as it is a work of the young adult weird fiction tradition.

$5

Flowers for Thursday by Mia Tijam (short stories)
The Burning Day and Other Strange Stories by Charles Payseur (short stories)
Acres of Perhaps by Will Ludwigsen (short stories)
Subject 11 by Jeffrey Thomas (novella)

$20

The Searching Dead by Ramsey Campbell
Beneath a Pale Sky by Philip Fracassi (short stories)
Stranger Things Happen by Kelly Link (short stories)
Mortal Love by Elizabeth Hand
The Nectar of Nightmares by Craig Laurance Gidney (short stories)

I think I blew my Weird mucles out reading the last China Mieville anthology, that was a few years ago but I still have to take it in small doses. This seems like a lot of small doses.
The SFWA Magical Mysteries Bundle

Blurb:

Right as she drags him off into a world of magic. We've got the exellent Sorrow and Joy by D.R. Perry featuring a goth lion shifter and a girl named Mavis Merlini who just wants to keep her head down and get through school. Good luck with that. In Darin Kennedy's Pawn's Gambit Yesterday was just another day at the office for Steven Bauer. Today, he is the White Pawn, a combatant in a nightmarish game of chess where people are the pieces and the world is at stake. In The Dragon's Playlist by Laura Bickle, down-on-her-luck Di discovers a dragon living in the coal mines of West Virginia.

Magical Mysteries? Ruh Roh

Not sure how you can have a mysteries bundle without a single short stories book?
The Hopepunk Bundle

Blurb:

It's a subgenre of speculative fiction, so it includes fantasy as well as science fiction, and it's a reaction to the dystopian views that grimdark novels have. Where grimdark is violent and amoral, hopepunk stories feature characters who fight for positive change, communal responses to challenges, and even radical kindness. It's an intentional ray of sunshine in what could be a bleak literary landscape. It's taking a stand because it's right, not because it's profitable. It's rebelling against an oppressive regime to improve everyone's lot, not just your own. It emphasizes cooperation over conflict while realizing that a Happily Ever After isn't guaranteed.

$5

The Stars and Green Magics by Novae Caelum (Season 1)
Red Dot by Mike Karpa
Children of Arkadia by M. Darusha Wehm
The Road to the Stars by Adam Gaffen (Cassidy Chronicles)

$20

The Adventures of Wil Calder by John Wilker (book 1)
The Left Hand of Dog by Si Clarke
Aces High, Jokers Wild: Books 1-3 by O.E. Tearmann

So apparently you can punk anything.

In the email it seriously underplays the higher price level saying you get seven extra books, but 4 of those are actually 3 book sets.
The Time Travel Fun Bundle

Blurb:

As a genre distinction, time travel is considered science fiction, but actually it fits in fantasy much better. Diana Gabaldon characters rub a rock and magically travel into the past. Stephen King has his characters go into a closet. All fantasy.

Also, romance writers use time travel as a romantic element in their story, often to bring two characters together. So even though time travel, as a plot device, is considered science fiction, I thought it would be great fun in this Time Travel StoryBundle to show how really diverse time travel stories can actually be.

$5

Colliding Worlds Vol. 3 edited by Kristine Kathryn Rusch and Dean Wesley Smith (short stories)

Hmm a Diving Universe in a Time Travel Bundle, wonder what that is about.
Quite a few short story collections in this one.
