for my birthday last year the missus got me a metal millenium falcon bottle opener, was so happy with it!
One of my friends has one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Death-Cube-Silicone/dp/B009150GV8

Totally impractical size for an ice cube, but you just have to use it.

It's an old pad, but it checks out.

I'll have some romulan ale, thanks.
The jedi and the battle between light and dark side of the force is an elegant idea. Maybe even more so than the world of witchcraft and wizardry and the battle of the districts. Maybe even better than this world is not real Matrix and Inception. Purely from a writing perspective I mean.

You are the chosen one and this world isn't real? Pretty weak from an emotional standpoint.

Hunger games do have the emotional part covered well.

bad_fur_day1: And omg, Luke Skywalker is back! The legendary jedi, isssss baaaaack. :D

Omg.

dtgreene: I predict that he isn't going to survive the trilogy.

Also, Rey is now my favorite Star Wars character. Not my favorte Episode 7 character; my favorite Star Wars character, period.
I don't think any of em' are going to survive the trilogy. only thing I'm unsure of is Chewie. dog rules might apply so they might leave it on him.

I'm pretty pissed about the lack of boba fett in this film. I must've have seen him in every other bit of promotional stuff I'd seen out of this new star wars media blitz. wearing this new red paint job no less. and he wasn't even in it. point against them for that. already wary of this new star wars machine.

I'm emotionally torn about the lighter. Half of me of thought that scene was hilarious and the other half said "great, another Jar Jar Binks character for the children". Over time I'm preferring the former. Anyway, have you looked at the dimensions of BB-8? That'd be one tiny lighter :)

I haven't seen the movies, but the books are all about the emotional part.
You can literally feel the constant pressure and terror, which was at times a bit too much for me to handle.
The books are excellent.

Excellent story, great piece of popular culture, disreguarding all the teeny hype. I very much appreciate how it's more about the drama surrounding the games than the action, which opens up into much larger concepts. Like war and hope and betrayal the fight agains't "the man".

Kinda like a reverse Matrix.

Went to watch a movie, was more disappointed in 3D than in the movie itself. Although, the not-really-a-Vader guy sucked, IMO. He didn't look menacing and powerful and in the end he got beaten up by a girl who started to use powers the very same day and picked up a light saber even later. And the guy supposed to be trained by Luke before and by Snoke after the corruption. Pretty ridiculous. Even the stormtrooper landed a hit on him (WTF?!). I hope they do a better job with antagonist in the next episode.

Also, where is Kyle Katarn?
I guess he (along with many others) fell victim to the new canon Disney is trying to do. A shame. And now it feels like Luke Skywalker got old without doing anything useful in his entire life. Some last Jedi he is. All the hopes of Yoda and Kenobi gone to waste.

Any links? I'm pretty sure I've seen no mention or picture of Fett in relation to the new movie. In fact, there is no indication he's even alive after Return of the Jedi in the new canon.
