May i ask why ?
Tropico 5: Complete Collection ($12.24), costs less than the Tropico 5: Complete Collection Upgrade ($14.99).

Seems odd, as they both deliver the same set of DLC's.

There is more story and character comments and messages than in 3, the story and characters are the most hilarious and you don't have to deal with combat manually like in tropico 5. Also the Modern Times DLC for 4 is another campaign.

It's interesting to me how you only compare 3, 4 and 5 on which is the best.
I only played 1 and 3 and even though I like 3 a lot, I can say without any restraint that the first Tropico is better. The whole atmosphere is more charming as it's right in the middle between the serious and parodic. Also, the first one is more challenging and I would say has better balance when you progress further in decades as well.

What do you think about the user interface of the different Tropicos? Any noticeable improvements from title to title? I find it can make a difference in old-ish strategy/simulation games.
Does anyone know if Tropico 3 runs decently on Linux?
Remove these horrible fascist games immediately from existance! Teaching you to be a tyrant á la Duvalier? Suppress the people and stash away as much of the tax money that you can manage. Rig elections and crush anyone who demands true democracy. How can anyone play these?

Oh, and I am not serious and actually have a couple of these.

The only UI interface change from 1 to 3 is that in 3 you choose what you build differently. I wouldn't say better or worse, just different. Also, in 3 you have your prezidente avatar that can be moved around map and do a lot useful things, I love this addition.
I'm guess all the Tropicos that came after 3 improved, each in some area, but as already mentioned I didn't play them and can't pass a relevant judgement. I have 4th installment but who knows when its playtime will come. That's why I don't even follow closely on how 5 and 6 are improved...by the time I finish all there is in 1, 3 and 4 there will probably be announcement that Tropico 12 will soon be released. xD
Why is Tropico 3 more expensive than Tropico 4?

Also I love Tropico 1 but the game keep crashing when I did certain action. To the point I can't do that option at all. I forget which one but it really hinder my fun playing it.

To cure the crashes in Tropico 2, edit Tropico2.ini (same folder as the .exe) and change the line to SoftwareDevice=1.
Where's Morolf? Isn't this proof of GOG's support for dictatorships or something?

Pfft, no one has a sense of humour.
