This is the official thread for reporting suspicious activity on the forums. If you see any bots breaking the rules by spamming, advertising, posting shady links to weird websites - report them here! Moderation Team will do their best to keep such posts to a minimum but, as you might imagine, it's impossible to keep an eye on every single thread 24/7. That's why we need your help, anti-spam force! :)

Big kudos to everyone who created and contributed to the unofficial thread!

Only report bot accounts/spam in this thread. Its purpose is not to report other users. If you see a user who you believe is breaking the rules, message Staff privately instead.

I just want to make a sidenote here:
In less than half a year, there have been nearly 500 spam reports.

That's an alarmingly high statistic. Most forums I've known in the past had maybe 50 a year, if even that. (From what I vaguely remember of the Seribii and Nsider forums).

I don't recall ever seeing spam getting by on Neogaf in it's heyday, nor Resetera. Nor have I seen it pop up on massive subreddits such as r/games, so I don't know what they're doing right that GOG is doing wrong.

Reading a recently necro'ed thread I found a 5 year old spam:

Also, I'm not entirely convinced that the user who pulled the thread back from the graveyard isn't another bot. But the account is more than a year old so I guess it's just a misguided user instead.
