skeletonbow: One thing about Crossplay that I never see anyone mention really, is that the average gamer who has heard about it but doesn't know the details, as well as the average gaming journalist seems to think Crossplay is some magic wand, like GOG made this magic software that connects to Steam, connects to Origin or any other gaming service and enables gamers on any of those services to play games with anyone on other services and it works with any game that's on GOG that is also on Steam or wherever. Magic wand.
More like they think that games connect to servers or direct IPs, not that the online servers are limited to where the game is purchased from. That only makes sense for ranked play.

Tyrrhia: Just notifying you that you have copy-pasted a typo (see the attachment). ;P

BlackThorny: Thanks for letting me know. Tried editing, Now it seems several titles on the gogmix have doubled (or worse) entries? :/
Oh, wow, that's a nasty bug. Sorry for accidentally causing it! :$

Well it seems just removing the extra entries works, so I easily fixed it. Hopefully the next bug won't delete them :P
Though I do wonder - Why was it even allowed to add more then one entry for a title in a Gog mix in the first place?

BlackThorny: Some say it is nothing but a myth,
Others it can't really work And / Or don't like what it requires (when you need another account),
One hope it's the future (me?)

The future is in the past ;)

Crossplay... its sickening that this is even a word for PC to PC game communication. They just don't make games as they used to anymore; all behaving like Valve subsidaries and acting surprised if sombody don't even know their franchise even exists, never having been inside or bothered with that walled garden.

Enough cane swinging; nothing to see here but a mind set in old ways :P
No thanks. I don't want anyone running around in my game ruining everything. I stopped playing MMO games long ago and I want my single player games to stay single player games.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Either a game has multiplayer or it doesn't, crossplay is just about whether people are stuck playing with other GOG players or GOG+Steam players.

Ah, then there is a double (or even triple) meaning. Because crossplay also refers to multiplayer elements in single player games. I.e. some of the enemies (or allies) can be taken over by other players. And it refers do Cosplaying characters of the opposite gender. Perhaps, if one means cross-platform play, one should call it cross-platform play and not shorten it to the ambiguous term crossplay.

I can see the confusion then, I was unaware of that meaning.
