So, where to begin? I let the GOG community know a couple of years ago about my first novel being published on Amazon (and without DRM) but it was in spanish, and one of the people who responded asked me if it was going to be in english. Well, it only took me like a lot of time, but finally managed to finish a complete translation to english of my first novel: Fairytale.

I wrote it in 2009, so it's not exactly my best work, BUT I did rewrite some parts during the translation. So overall is a better product because of it (I hope? haha).

Synopsis: "Cristian McCorsen is a Hunter of the Dark Ones, creatures from the Eternal Penumbras. He seeks revenge after the murder of his parents in the hands of a Fairy, and along with his friend Matías they're fighting Darkness... until they meet Ariel, a Fairy that will put their believes upside down. Together, they'll face a Witch that is moving in the shadows, pulling the strings on everything... Cristian won't be able to deny his own darkness, and that maybe there's light in the darkness after all."

The book is already available but since this is such a great community, I'll advise you to wait until tomorrow, since I set up a free Weekend deal. So, you can grab a free novel during friday-sunday, and if you want maybe you could leave a small review on Amazon?

Hope everyone who reads it likes it, and if you don't like it, please tell me why. We're always trying to improve in this life.

you translated your own book into what? English? a lot of spelling errors in your post.
Yes, I translated from spanish to english. Which errors did you notice?

I think he's referring to languages being written with a lowercase first letter, should be uppercase, weekdays being lowercase, should be uppercase, also "sinopsis" should be "synopsis" to begin with.

In some cases the problem is the opposite. "in the hands of a Fairy", the word "fairy" should be lowercase, as it can't be a name because it is preceded by "a".

There are also some words apparently missing; "I wrote in 2009" should probably be "I wrote it in 2009", and so on.

If he saw something else, maybe he'll expand to that.

ok thanks. so its kind of like color vs colour?

also to the OP, im sorry you had so much issues.
someone like isnt the audience for your book. Really the only book ive read were when i was younger, mostly about space and some being history/psychology
The names are as they are in spanish (I don't like it when people's names are translated). As for the uppercase Fairy, that's because that's the name of a creature in the book and is stylished like that. Same as Dark Ones, for instance. It is used as a name and I decided to write it in uppercase throughout the entire story. I know is grammatically incorrect, but it was a decision consciously made for style. I prefer to do something wrong on purpose to achieve a visual result I like, than to not achieve that result. A book is all about words... but how those words are written is part of the magic. At least that what's I believe. Once is a mistake, twice or more, is a decision.

As for the lowercase "weekdays", I know I saw it written like that. Not just online, but also within books, and english book nonetheless. Will take note of that, thanks.

As for the "I wrote in" yes, I completely skipped over the "it". And almost did the same on the first paragraph.

And for "sinopsis" instead of "synopsis", also missed that one. In spanish it is written like that so yeah, my bad. Sometimes I even write "languajes" instead of "languages". Which reminds me... Languages is another word I saw a lot of times in lowercase. I thought it would be like God/god". Good to know, and thankfully those words are not in the book haha.
