Read the small print. The big button is for the 'Kindle unlimited' scam.
But below that should be the line "Für 0.00€ kaufen". If you click that, you should be able to buy it without Kindle Unlimited. At least it worked for me and I don't have Kindle Unlimited.

There are two buttons to buy the book. One is the regular buy, and right above that one is the Kindle Unlimited one, which you don't want. That button is there for when the book is not free, people subscribed can still read it, but if you're not subscribed you have to pay (except for this weekend haha). You need to use the one that is "Buy in one click".

I let the GOG community know a couple of years ago about my first novel being published on Amazon (and without DRM) but it was in spanish, and one of the people who responded asked me if it was going to be in english. Well, it only took me like a lot of time, but finally managed to finish a complete translation to english of my first novel: Fairytale.

I wrote it in 2009, so it's not exactly my best work, BUT I did rewrite some parts during the translation. So overall is a better product because of it (I hope? haha).

Synopsis: "Cristian McCorsen is a Hunter of the Dark Ones, creatures from the Eternal Penumbras. He seeks revenge after the murder of his parents in the hands of a Fairy, and along with his friend Matías they're fighting Darkness... until they meet Ariel, a Fairy that will put their believes upside down. Together, they'll face a Witch that is moving in the shadows, pulling the strings on everything... Cristian won't be able to deny his own darkness, and that maybe there's light in the darkness after all."

The book is already available but since this is such a great community, I'll advise you to wait until tomorrow, since I set up a free Weekend deal. So, you can grab a free novel during friday-sunday, and if you want maybe you could leave a small review on Amazon?

Yeah... how is it "hivemind" to use a correct word to describe something? Statements are either accurate or they aren't. Just because everyone else thinks something is accurate it doesn't make them sheep, it just makes you wrong.

Oops. I thought since the book was gave away that was ok. Just to clarify it should be a GOG game giveaway then? So I can keep that in mind for my next book :)

There are Steams given away here too, so it doesn't have to be GOG games.

Well, the occasion for this thread was that the book was given away for free. So it was a giveaway. The giveaway is over now, but still the thread was opened in accordance with the forum guidelines, I think.
