OmarTheSyrian: Thank you for the song and the lyrics translation, it's beautiful and the lyrics are really great...
The next song is "Vallan haamut" ("Ghosts of Power"), right?, it's a good song too..
Glad you like it, its not too often that someone makes sci-fi epic in album format.. Overall, CMX is "the band" for me. Very lyrics heavy and being only in finnish, doesnt really make it all that easy to access for everyone else.

I didnt translate the lyrics btw, if youre interested the full lyrics for the whole album are here: http://cmx.fi/arkisto/reader.php?file=talvikuningas_english

Also the 5th song "punainen komentaja" has pretty cool music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdEX_q31_-g

Exoanthrope: As far as metal and rock goes, I typically like more melancholy and abstract lyrics like that, mostly just fiction. For some better songs by Vulture Industries, you might like 'Pills of Conformity' or 'The Tower' which I could post if you want.
For more meaningful/relevant lyrics, I usually turn to Pain or Soilwork, so here's another one:

Song title: Just Think Again
Me too but not the kind of lyrics that involves devils and demons..... Agalloch might be a good example...
I will check the songs that you recommended....
that Pain song is really great, although I don't like the vocals that much but the lyrics are so realistic especially in my case, and imagining the scenery is really a PAIN.

I listen to some Finnish bands: Sentenced, PosionBlack, and sometimes Wintersun and Swallow the Sun, and there's Wyrd they have some Finnish songs which I don't understand but their music is great.

Thank you for the link....

The Idea of that video is creepy....

Song title: Dead Moon Rising
Band name: Sentenced
Album title: Crimson
Genre: Gothic metal, heavy metal, black metal, melodic death metal, death metal. (early)
Wikipedia link for the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentenced
Lyrics:

The darkness comes out of her shell
Yet another cold night in Hell with all the pain
The dying light is losing its glow
And my last glimmer of hope now fades away

It is starting to rain again
I'm coming closer to my end with every breath
The creepy shadows are growing pale
And the rising glow brings along the sense of death

I can feel Her presence now

Dead Moon Rising
Bleeding red light over the sea
- I hope this time She came for me
- I hope this time She sets me free

My wounds are open wide
The freezing wind blows right inside and feels like ice
The eerie glow fires up the sky
And She takes away my sight with Her shine

I can feel Her all around

Dead Moon Rising
Bleeding dead light over the sea
- I hope this time She came for me
- I hope this time She sets me free

Dead Moon Rising
Bleeding dead light over the sea
- I hope this time She came for me
- I hope this time She sets me free

Oh, I wasn't even thinking about that, maybe a little too real. And the vocals always bugged me, too. He's primarily a black metal vocalist, so his clean vocals are a little off.

Listening to Agalloch now. I don't know how I never heard of them until now, but this is amazing stuff.
Am I the only one here who likes Thrash Metal? Oh well

Song Title: Beauty Through Order
Band Name: Slayer
Album Title: World Painted Blood
Genre: Thrash Metal (though with Slayer's Case they are teetering between Thrash and Death Metal)
Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slayer
Lyrics:

It's the feel of your blood
As it flows smoothly down my skin
Intoxicating my soul
Immortality, seducing me
Burning in your own hell, which now binds you to me infinitely
Spirits of angels don't weep for you enticing me

Vanity, blood
Left for you to drink
Eternity waits for you
Vanity, blood
Left for you to drink
Eternity waits for you to drink

Frozen in time is the ice flowing in your veins
Are you insane?
At your mercy they suffered while you sat there painless
Vile and shameless
Crowned you are now for the merciless sins
It's the end
Your beauty through order is where blood flows through you
Where it begins

Vanity, blood
Left for you to drink
Eternity waits for you
Vanity blood
Left for you to drink
Eternity waits for you to drink
Young life striped down of all it's dignity
Sliced flesh pours out it's youthfulness
My lust will never be fully quenched
Your screams tell me that you're not prepared to die

(Guitar Solo)

Creature from hell why can't you see the things I see?
Mirror tells me that you were always meant for me
You are my sacrifice
Blood is the deficit
Biting the flesh, face my sick prelude
Now meet your frozen death

God did not do this (4x)

Heated iron bar I will insert inside your cunt
Mistress of cruelty, a name that will not die
You are my sacrifice
Blood is the deficit
Bathing in blood, your heart, your soul, your god

It all belongs to me
God belongs to me (4x)
It all belongs to me

(Guitar Solo)

Murder is my birthright the bloodline proves aristocracy
Walled in, left for dead, your actions show no hypocrisy
My birthright, is murder
My birthright, is murder

Birthright, murder (4x)

Slayer and Pantera are great, but I'm not gonna lie, I never really liked Metallica or a lot of other thrash metal bands.
Song title: Archetype
Band name: Fear Factory
Album title: Archetype
Genre: Industrial metal, groove metal, thrash metal, alternative metal, death metal
Wikipedia link for the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_Factory
Lyrics:

You must never forget
The essence of your spark
All of that which defines you
Is the essence of your blood

The infection has been removed
The soul of this machine has improved [x2]

Look into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Someone real
This is real
What you wish to be

You must never forget
To modernize performance
Malignancies on the system
Will handicap slow up and rust

The infection has been removed
The soul of this machine has improved [x2]

Look into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Someone real
This is real
What you wish to be

Fuck!

Can you see
Can you see

Look into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Someone real
This is real
What you wish to be

Open your eyes (open your eyes, open your eyes) [x7]

Exoanthrope: Slayer and Pantera are great, but I'm not gonna lie, I never really liked Metallica or a lot of other thrash metal bands.
Metallica made some good songs (...And Justice for All is there best album in thier career) but I find them not as Thrash compared to other bands (Fuckin Testament with their Over the Wall song is the most Thrash thing I heard)

Metallica to me is the Thrash Metal for the Casual listener. The hardcore listeners hears Slayer, Exodus, Sepultura.

But trust me when I say this at least Thrash Metal sounds like music. Have you listen to Sirius XM Liquad Metal station? I have listened to 5 different bands and al l5 of them sound exactly the same that I thought I was listening to the same band.

The same gutteral vocals, the same drum beat by banging both sticks on the drum repeatedly without rhythm. The same extremely distorted guitars. i just listen to the Glam Metal radio station hair metal or Ozzy's Bonyard.

Anyway I highly recommend you listen to some Thrash Metal Tracks. Megadeth's Hanger 18, Testament's Into the Pit, Anthrax Indians, Metallica's Blackened, Exodus' Piranha, Overkill's The Green and Black.

Also Thrash has imo the best Metal Ballas i have ever heard. You probably listend to some of Pantera's like Floods.

Metallica's One
Testament's The Ballad, Cold Embrace is hauting.

I almost forgot about Megadeth, they're good, too. I'm not much into Testament as they always reminded me of Metallica, but I'll give them another listen along with the other tracks you mentioned. Thanks for the suggestions!

Oh hell no. Testament is nothing like Metallica. One thing seperates Testament and thats Chuck fuckin' Billy. That man's voice puts James Hetfield's to shame.

He is pretty much the ultimate Thrash Metal Singer imo.

More than Meets the Eye will show you why:

Song title: Dead Boy's Poem
Band name: Nightwish
Album title: Wishmaster
Genre: Symphonic power metal
Wikipedia link for the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightwish

Lyrics:
"I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you, I'm sorry"

Born from silence, silence full of it
A perfect concert my best friend
So much to live for, so much to die for
If only my heart had a home

Sing what you can't say
Forget what you can't play
Hasten to drown into beautiful eyes
Walk within my poetry, this dying music
- My loveletter to nobody

Never sigh for better world
It's already composed, played and told
Every thought the music I write
Everything a wish for the night

Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin
Died for the beauty the one in the garden
Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom
Failed in becoming a god

Never sigh...

"If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse, songmaker's cry the one without tears
For I've given this its strength and it has become my only strength.
Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality
where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life"

"Teach me passion for I fear it's gone
Show me love, hold the lorn
So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me
I'm sorry
Time will tell (this bitter farewell)
I live no more to shame nor me nor you
And you... I wish I didn't feel for you anymore..."

Album title: Winterborn
Genre: Melodic death metal
Wikipedia link for the band: http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/band.php?band_id=7964&bandname=Wolfheart
Lyrics:

Laying To Rest
And Summon The Death With Profound And Fierce Fire
Cleanse The Soul In The Blaze Of The Ancient Wrath

Searing Grave
Black Flames From The Void Tear Through The Pyre
From Fire To Embers With Strength I Burn

Resurrection Of The Fallen
Into The Lifeless Lands Of The North
From The Abyss From The Core

From The Depths Of The Damnation
The Infernal Regions
I Was Reborn Into The Coldest Dawn
The Coldest Of Them All

Once Departed And Reawakened
I Carry The Mark Of The 4th Rider
Of The Pale Horse
The Bringer Of Death Upon The Earth

I Was Brought Back With A Coal Black Soul
My Heart Beats Still Forevermore
In The Flames Of The End I've Been Reborn

Song title: Many Moons Ago...
Band name: Empyrium
Album title: Where At Night The Wood Grouse Plays
Genre: Symphonic folk/doom metal and neofolk/dark folk
Wikipedia link for the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empyrium
Lyrics:

A night of december so dark and cold,
I walked a path ages old
The moon amongst the clouds revealed
lightning valleys, forest and field

Embraced by silence I wandered the moor
an endless landscape by my side
when in the mist I saw a light
dancing through the hazy night

I stood and watched the play in awe
was deeply touched by what I saw
I told my friends what I did see
and what they told did tremble me!

It's said the ghost of a young, fair maid
is cursed to dwell beneath the shade
of the olden oak she died below
O that was many moons ago!
Okay, here are a couple more songs. :-)

Song title: It's Not You
Band name: Halestorm
Album title: Halestorm
Genre: Hard rock
Wikipedia link for the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halestorm

Lyrics:
[CHORUS:]
I'm in love with somebody
Found someone who completes me
I'm in love with somebody , oh yeah
And it's not you

Read my finger whatcha gonna do?
See these lips are all done talkin' to you
I don't mean to bruise your ego
But I've had you nailed down for so long
And I don't see your name on my tattoo
Hope you understand
It's been a long time coming
It's for the best
No offense

[CHORUS]

I know who you think you are
Sorry I've turned you on but I'm kissing you off
Your lines are whiskey and cigarettes
They're not enough to make me forget
I've got someone who has raised the bar
I've heard it all before
Stop spinning your wheels
I'll show you the door
No hard feelings

[CHORUS]

You're probably never been shut down before.
I'll try and make it easier

[CHORUS]

It's not you.

Song title: Black Orchid
Band name: Blue October
Album title: The Answers
Genre: Alternative rock
Wikipedia link for the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_October

Lyrics:
Have you ever been so lonely,
No one there to hold?
Pull me in or disown me,
And then climb inside.
My arms are open wide.
Have a look inside.

It is not that I am scared to learn,
Why I'm empty inside.
hold my hand or show some concern,
If I live or die.
My eyes are open wide.
Help me look inside.

I hear the water drip from the faucet.
It's sweetly falling in tune.
I'm gently closing the closet.
I fall to the floor,
and crawl to my room.
The thought of ending it soon...
Just let me sleep in my room.

Hear me cry! cry! cry!
I hear a knock at the front door.
Don't come in!
I try to look at you
But I can't stop shaking.
Leave me alone. Just go away.
Mother I'm so scared.

Empty bed and all of the sheets are gone,
They're wrapped around me and you.
All is quiet but the drop of a gun.
I want to belong...to someone...
But maybe life's not for everyone
