Yay, I can finally go back and re-play this game. Not!

Like snowkatt, Elmofongo and Crosmando, I'm also not a lover of how the series developed. It was pretty stupid from the get-go escorting Ashley, and that terrible A.I. didn't helped one bit, so no matter what they do I won't go back. I don't want to torture myself again trying to lead that girl to safety.

Crosmando: I hate RE4, it was the game that ruined Resident Evil - transforming it from atmospheric survival horror into an arcade over-the-shoulder shooter for no reason than to appeal to braindead CoD kiddies. Fuck that game and anyone who likes it.

Riotact: The HD version was released in 2014, this is a mod for that release that improves the gfx 16x times, if you look at the video that contrasts the original HD game with the new textures, it is quite amazing what they have done.

I meant that the texture mod was posted on March 2014. It's quite old news, but for some reason IGN and Eurogamer posted about it recently. I also tested the HD texture mod back in September 2014. There's a thread with a LOT of posts about it on the steam forum for RE4. It's been in development for a long time.

I agree with those who say Resident Evil 4 is not a survival horror game. It's really more of an action game with horror elements. But it's such an amazing action game that I still love it!
