Remember the "Reclaim your games. DRM-FREE!"? service introduced over a year ago?
https://www.gog.com/reclaim
Not a single game has ever been added to it since its introduction despite stating that more games coming soon. SOON. :P Will we ever see any additions to it?

Well, GOG Connect looks like a great service but I hope the support turns out to be much better than the currently abandoned Reclaim service...

Agreed, hope it's not another fizzle

A lot will rely on devs and publishers being willing to allow their game to be added to a list.

Any game going on the reclaim list thats already owned wouldn't have monetary value beyond what was paid for the boxed edition way back when.

It's more of a hook to bring people to gog and make them aware it exists.
First we had the for the first two Witcher games, which is still available. Second came the [url=https://www.gog.com/reclaim]reclaim , And finally GOG Connect.
All of these are still available, I think we can expect something from all of them. The Witcher 3 will probably have a redeem key come though the first or the last method, or even both. And I still expect more retail keys from other games.

Weren't the Master of Orion games added by way of a somewhat complicated process?
How can I forget?
I got S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series because of this initiative.
Masters of Orion was added though.

I think the real problem with that idea is that most publishers didn't keep a list of their serial keys for old games. That service will only work if they have a way to verify ownership.

Yep. Involves taking pictures of the game box/discs/manual and sending it to GOG.

Although I kind of share the OP's feeling that this Connect thing is going to likely fizzle out and not really end up having very many games on the list.

I exactly have the same feeling. I know this service is the result of huge negociations between several partners, but I hope it won't be abandoned too.

Even so, it will give us some games in the process. It already gave me two, so... :)

That's GOG's trademarked Soon™ meaning any time between now and the end of the universe.
Witcher 3 doesn't get this reclaim feature? Kinda weird.

That's for Half Life 3, Dota 3 and Source 3. lol.

I suspect this feature will do much better than the past attempts. The big thing is that these games are free to connect to GoG only for a limited time. So in the eye of developers it's kind of like a sale.

Witcher 3 retail copies come with a GOG code, so yes it does. :)
I think they should be all combined into one page.
