Maybe I'm just blind, but even from the trailer video it's hard to tell if the fighting is taking place on a 2D plane (like Super Smash Bros.) or a 3D arena (like Power Stone.)

The game has LAN multiplayer , Cross platform multiplayer with consoles, Rollback netcode. More information here.

GungHo decided not to release Trails in the sky remake here so instead might as well spend money to someone that deserves it.

Btw I hate those limited time only bonuses... For the love of God at least release the artbook as a DLC so people that will find the game at a later date have the chance to buy it.

Nice addition, will buy it after I am done with Cold Steel series (which will take awhile considering I am only at the end of first playthrough for Cold Steel I)

Yes it's possible. Just finished downloading and installing, and tested it.

Both the text and voices can be independently toggled between English and Japanese.

I think this game was a bad idea. And a worse idea to localize it. This is the ultimate niche within a niche. But that's not why its bad. What makes it bad is that its just way lower quality than the series it is based off of. It seems to be just bad fan fiction.

I love Trails and like Ys. And even I have no interest in this thing. Shallow short story and very old action combat battler.
I can't even imagine what someone not familiar with these series would think.

I'm not mad at it. I just wish the resources would have gone into a better project than this.

Whose resources? I honestly don't think Falcom lifted a finger. Refint looks like a bunch of fans (probably from Geofront) banded together and nagged Falcom into letting them localise this game. And for that - I am grateful.

At least we got it on GOG, unlike the Trails remake.
