West of Loathing is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% discount until November 23, 2PM UTC.

It's hilarious, it's ridiculous, and it makes you feel warm inside. It's by the Kindom of Loathing team, and if you ever played that you know how how good they are with their words.

Oh, also – we collaborated on a small personality quiz for the release, written up by the devs to give you a taste of what the game's like. Should be ready later today.

MarkoH01: Touché - but I wanted to hear about the game from those two guys in blue who recommended this game and basically forced us to buy it.
West of Loathing is kind of an RPG-adventure-ish blend, but what really sells the game is the trademark Kingdom of Loathing humor. I haven't played a game which was genuinely funny and clever like this in a long time. It's not a straight western either, there are some very otherwordly elements in it which I will not spoil :)

Tons of good quests, tons of fun skills outside your picked class, tons of charm and heart and some good replay value sprinkled in.

But having finished WoL recently, I gotta say this is clearly the superior game. Even if I never managed to figure out the ultimate purpose of the "alien" machines :(
