UnReal World is a unique combination of roguelike roleplaying game and survival simulation – and it’s now available on GOG, alongside its Enhanced Soundtrack and a Bundle of both titles!

As a member of one of the nine different cultures you'll enter a detailed and enchanting iron-age game world in which northern folklore, knowledge and way of life play an important part. The world and mechanics of the game are highly realistic, rich with historical atmosphere and emphasized on survival in the harsh ancient wilderness.

Now on GOG!

Certainly took a while but glad to see it released on GoG at long last, thanks Enormous Elk & GoG.

One of the "grandparents" of Survival games.
This was one of those games which was first rejected by GOG because of its exquisite "curation", some years ago. Good to see that GOG is acknowledging some of their previous mistakes.
It´s a Finnish game, isn´t it?
I knew it the moment they started talking about saunas :)
"Longest living Roguelike".

Nethack is from 1987 and is still releasing updates ;)

Yes, but Nethack took a development hiatus for about 12 years. 'Longest living' for game development means continuous developer updates, which Unreal World has had since it was released.
Great game. Not many, make my Great list.

you're welcome
Played this game quite a bit way back in the day, also own a Steam copy. It's crazy the amount of detail it has. One time a character of mine fought a lynx, it scored a critical hit on his arm and ripped it out of his body. Poor guy went unconscious and never woke up again. RIP.
Oh, finally. I guess I'll count this as +1 of my Dreamlist being fulfilled. Only 30+ pages to go! (I thought we were supposed to get informed of these things.)

Ah, I see. https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/unreal-world GOG hasn't fulfilled it yet. Strange.

Truly a classic, and one I've sunk a few hours into; to support it properly, I finally shall.
this is a GREAT release.

thank you gog, and the developers/publishers.
Well now, this is a nice surprise. The game's a bit too much for me, but I love to see it here!
