A warmly received series of fantasy titles from Cyanide Spiders arrives on GOG.COM with juicy discounts. Join Orcs and Goblins in their desperate struggle against the Empire of Humankind in three unique games:

Of Orcs and Men (-80%) is an action fantasy RPG in which you follow the Orc warrior Arkail and his Goblin companion Styx on their quest to assassinate the human Emperor.

Styx: Master of Shadows (-80%) is a stealth game and a prequel to Of Orcs and Men. As the Goblin Styx you must infiltrate the mysterious Tower of Akenash.

Styx: Shards of Darkness (-60%) tells the further story of the ruthless Goblin. Our hero can sneak past enemies, set traps and clone himself in order to confuse his foes.

Discounts on all three games - Of Orcs and Men (-80%), Styx: Master of Shadows (-80%), and Styx: Shards of Darkness (-60%) – will last on GOG.COM until 31th January, 2 PM UTC.
Interesting. Only one game seem to be published by Focus and still we get all three. Thank you GOG, Focus and Nacon. Nice surprise for the weekend.

Could somebofy tell me what kind of game the first one is? I only started the first Styx game on Steam and liked it so far - was aware of the second Styx game (which I was just about to buy on Steam as well since it's discounted there as well) but have no idea about the first one. Is it one story?

Unable to put those games on my wishlist. They aren't shown even though the counter increases.

Thanks!
It’s a good price for all three too. Remember playing ors and men way back and wasn’t that impressed, seemed linear plain and character control wasn’t great. The Styx 2 however I have not played and they do look fun.

It is from the same setting but basically a different story. Or better put, the Styx games are prequels to Of Orcs and Men and basically explain the origin of Styx.

You control 2 characters, the orc Arkhail and the more popular goblin Styx. It is basically an action RPG game. You level both characters individually and control them in combat. Arkhail is either tank or damage and Styx is damage and stealth.

The locations/dungeons are pretty linear, chests have pre-determined loot (which is a plus IMO), gain experience, talk to people.... The usual stuff. Gameplay-wise, it is nothing special but the story is interesting and worth a playthrough just for that IMO.

Thank you a lot. Will probably pick that up then as well :)
Awesome. Instabought.
I own all these at that other store already. Due to DRM free and a great discount I now own them here. Thanks to everyone involved.
To add to this, it's a pretty rough game, but it tries to do a Dragon Age: Origins-style combat system where you have to chain your skills together in-between your regular attacks to maximize damage to enemies.

The game starts out as a "wide linear"- you have 2 "hubs" where you can pick side-missions that each involve you exploring a pretty linear level, but doing these boosts your reputation with some characters, allowing you to prepare for the confrontations in the end of each "Act". Then Act 3 onwards it gets purely linear, but there's a bit more story and world-building at that point.

The game uses an early version of Spiders' Silk Engine (which was later used to make Mars: War Logs, Bound By Flame, the Technomancer and GreedFall), but it's still VERY rough- there's no transition between indoors and outdoors, so you get levels that are essentially corridors.

It's not a bad game, but you have to approach it knowing what to expect.
Nice!

These look pretty cool. I think I'll grab the first and third (third looks gorgeous!). The first should satisfy my "mindless bashing and levelling" itch ;)

Nightcrawler I think you convinced me to grab the second at some point if I enjoy what I see in 3.
Is any chance to gog.com/connect these games?
I've been wanting these games for eons, but held off as every time I buy some games on sale for Steam somewhere after waiting and waiting, 1-12 months later they finally show up on GOG. This time patience paid off. :)

Considering heavily doing an almost instabuy of the first two games. Unsure about the 3rd one due to lack of multi-player, but not absolutely certain if I'd ever play multiplayer either as I don't know anyone else who owns the game.

Gonna ponder on it for a while then probably make an emotional purchase. :) I wonder what other games are looming in the near future as surprises...

It is absolutely worth it for the single player alone. Never played a second of co-op.
I'm not sure I've even heard of this series.
The first game has mixed reviews, however.. can it be skipped story-wise?
Which is the best of the other two, the 2nd or the 3rd? (for gameplay and\or plot)
