RafaelRamus: A game being a military recruitment tool makes it right leaning? What? Take a look at wars started or expanded by leftists presidents in the last decades. Are all leftists militarist presidents neocons as well? No matter who is in charge, there is always someone recruiting for the military through movies and games; maybe you haven't noticed, but recently the new adds (and the movies, and the games) for the military have become more "diverse and inclusive" and all...
Maybe the military is inherently 'conservative'? Historically the American police and army have been active in repressing labour organisations. There is also talk of "hawks" in defence. You would have those hawks whether the Dems or Republicans are in power. That's without even considering how radically different those two parties really are.

What makes a shooter right leaning is what perspective the game takes. In the vast majority of cases it would be that of the US. I really dohn't play those kinds of games but wouldn't a typical scenario be the US takes action against some left-leaning Asian country or something?

Or you know, outright fabricating events, historical revisionism, and being about as dull as dishwater.

And you know, advocating the mass shooting of innocents.

And being funded directly by the US Army and/or being used directly as an Army recruitment tool does tend to suggest a slight bias.

BanditKeith2: This this is true everyone who has any proper level of sense when ruling would recruit for the military no matter what side they are on.. as its either that or forcing people into military service without a choice .. which granted the US had done afew times when big enough wars was going on but that was a exception rather then the standard
I'm not sure that using video games to recruit impressionable young people is a good look for the military. That strikes me as being a form of propaganda and it's a dishonest method to recruit.

Creating a game which teaches players how to code seems honourable to me but not for creating a game to induce a mindset of wanting to join the military.

Not sure I'd like to see games created with ulterior motives like this. That seems objectionable to me.

That entire game (including that level) was made to discourage people from being patriotic/nationalistic(and to be more globalistic), and showed the supposed extremes such traits could possibly lead to.....perhaps you'd be able to see that if you weren't seemingly in such a hurry to post (even more) outlandish accusations about games/game devs.

It looks like the conversation went back to general politics despite my previous warning. :( I'm afraid I'm forced to lock the thread.
