Shmacky-McNuts: To bad its install is far exceeds what I can download.
avatar
Syphon72: What? Sorry just curious.
avatar
paladin181: I got that and the Steam edition when NACON sold it for $4.00 out of spite or whatever. I figured might as well since I'd already supported the developer. Now those purchases are being honored and I have it all there, too.
avatar
Syphon72: I got it on PS5 for the same price. Going to rebuy the game on GOG for good reasons.
Oh, I have a limited download amount via my provider. Thus it exceeds my monthly limit. So I would not be able to even use the internet at all at around half the size of this 1 game. But it seems a cool game.

Would be ironic though. If I buy it. Grab the chunks of offline installs. By the months laters that I finally finish, it would get an update and I would lose access to the last chunk version lol

Is 18GB to much for you? That is the size of the download.

I used to have a limited download amount until the day my provider called me. They were like you seem to download a lot of crap want unlimited? It was only 20 bucks more, so why not? lol

You know it is 18gb for certain in the offline install?

I could wait a few months for updates to settle and grab it over 2 or 3 months....

I assume you have purchased it and looked at the offline installer?

Welcome!
Instabuy for me, thanks GOG & Frogwares!
My congratulations on your victory in legal battle with Nacon.
Literally waited until this moment and haven't bought the game on Steam because of them.

dyscode: Though I won't rebuy it soon, since I already have the DRM-free Gamesplanet version for a long time! :)
avatar
kultpcgames: Same here, but I wish i could transfer the license, because I only used Gamesplanet for this single game.
Gamesplanet will provide Steam- or GOG-Key to owners of this version :)

REalistically, there probably won't be many if any updates. They kept the game updated over the last 2 years on Gamesplanet.

Much appreciated input. The fewer updates the better for large games. Since patches for offline installs, are sketchy. Bought a game last month. Forgot which one, but the offline patch was for an early version. Thought it was a rollback and remembered that was not a thing on gog. Only for some games in galaxy.

edit:
Just checked my games. It is Diluvion. Base= 1.2.33 and and the patch is v1.17....something. Anyway, $2 I will not care if I ever get around to it. If gog ever releases the beta(they say its on galaxy).

But$20 is a little more bothersome to never play.

Is this the first debut of it on GOG or has "The Sunken City" been here before?

If memory serves the store page was all set up and ready to go - just like the one for Devotion - but then the legal dispute with Nacon kicked off right before the scheduled release.

It had a store page and was scheduled to release, but GOG pulled out when legal trouble arose.
