anothername: Honestly, same here. Intentionally or not by Beth; it is currently an Steam exclusive. My FO3 & OB runs without inet; Skyrim won't.
avatar
Vythonaut: Not sure if it's intentional or not -- time will tell. But i guess, even if Bethesda has plans of releasing it here, it wouldn't show up at the same time as Oblivion, just as it happened with Morrowind. Anyway, i also see no reason to buy Oblivion (already have bought it twice on retail: the original on 2006 and later the GOTY) or Fallout 3 (also own the GOTY retail version) but i'm definitely buying New Vegas.
First time that New Vegas is without massive online DRM, so thats a no-brainer. :)

I thought of a lot of reasons to not buy OB again (which I have the original + the isles xpack) and FO3 again (which I already have twice; normal + GOTY)... Now I can think of why I did anyway :P

Oh well. At least hassle free gog installers and no disk juggling.

Marioface5: Will all three games have their mod tools here?
avatar
Thiev: Both Fallouts (3 / NV) have GECK included, and Morrowind came with TES CS, so I won't have any problems with adding Construction Set to Oblivion, however rebuilding the whole game just for that right after release seems a bit unnecessary.

It will be included in any installer update though.
Good to know! Any estimate on how long that could be? In the meantime, it might be worth it to put it up as a bonus item if doing so wouldn't be too much trouble.

Oh, and congratulations to GOG for 2000+ games and releasing these three long-awaited titles! It's so awesome to see them all here.
Took Long enough, FIIIINAAAALLLY!

Elder Scrolls... more like Boredom Scrolls, am I right ? ... no ? ... must be just me then.

Never thought these big games would actually be on GOG though, so kudos to the GOG team, this increases the chances of getting AAA titles on GOG that I would enjoy, every big title helps in this endeavor. Makes other pubs take notice.

It's a good thing that Oblivion is now in the catalog, but an 11 year old game with a price tag of $20 evokes nothing but laughter. Personally I still have my original CD, but even if I didn't, I'd never even consider buying it unless on some sort of 75%+ sale.

sorry to disrupt your party gog! but this release won't help you, when one looks at all the shitty/scammy things that you have pulled over the last years!!! everything still sucks!!!

btw is galaxy mandatory for oblivion, fallout 3 and nv or will you add this "feature" later?

This is great news. Bought all three of them.

Now all I need is Skyrim, Deus Ex, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls and I won't have to log into my Steam account anymore.

Anyway, as soon as i noticed this 3 releases i was buying them. Now that i am downloading, i can come here and relax a bit my enthusiasm. Still shocked, though.

Thank you GOG!!! Muah, muah, muah!

"Oblivion®, the critically acclaimed open-world RPG that solidified Elder Scrolls as a household name"

That was Morrowind who did this. Arena was the start, Daggerfall expanded it, though at that time Bethesda had financial problems. That was also the time Zenimax was founded and became the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, to which it still is nowadays. After it some spin-offs came, Battlespire and Redguard. And there was one game cancelled. That one was called the Eye of Argonia. But in 2002 they hit the jackpot. It was Morrowind who put The Elder Scrolls on the map and it was and is also the best in the franchise. Without the success of Morrowind there would probably not be an Oblivion or Skyrim.

aluinie: Quick ? does this include Shivering Isle expansion

Venita: Yes, and all the official plugins too
So also Horse armor, The Orrery, Vile Lair, Wizard's Tower, Thieves Den, Mehrunes Razor, Spell Tomes and Knights of the Nine, as well as the Fighters Stronghold.
Cause i remember that Bethesda sold those dlc's seperately and only Knights of the Nine was on cd.
Though they have also sold a collection for a limited time. I have myself the Knights of the Nine Oblivion downloadable content collection, which contains Knights of the Nine and all dlc's minus the Fighters Stronghold, as that one came out after it. Fighters Stronghold was free for about a week, before they charged it. Downloaded it myself then when it was free.

This is so why I love you guys :)

Really great to see these here. Not sure about picking up Oblivion (at least at the current discount) as I've played it before, but I shall definitely be getting the two Fallout games.

Thanks Gog! :D
An other time-eater game ! Sweet : P

Yo GOG, why did you hide this on the game card? I mean, horse armor is there in a prominent way, but "zomg SHIVERING ISLES INSTABUY!!1!" isn't.

(Instabought, obviously.)

Your attempt to be daring and edgy has failed, badly.
