River City Girls is now available DRM-free.

There's trouble once again in River City, and this time only the girls can save the day! Using a variety of attacks, weapons, and items, these hot-blooded heroines are ready to teach the city’s lowlifes a lesson - either solo or in 2-player co-op! It’s an old-school rumble for a new generation!
Call me when there is a Japanese dub.
Already have it on Switch, but happy to see it here. Might double dip during a sale.

Pyromancer138: Another WayForward game without achievements on GOG.
I can live with that but the absence of an online co-op mode is pissing me off a lot. This is totally unacceptable in a time where more and more people are playing games together with other people all around the globe.
A bit too pricey at launch for me to bite, but it's going on the wishlist.
Already purchased the Limited Run Games physical release for PS4....would've held off if I knew it was coming to GOG.

Still, happy to see it here, and will buy it on sale probably.

Thanks, but I'll pass.

the_importer: Meh, achievements are a "nice to have" feature, but not as important as being DRM-Free.

Chacranajxy: There we go. Though, this does beg the question: where is Mighty Switch Force Collection?

Either way, while it's annoying that there's always a delay with Wayforward stuff, I'm still gonna buy it. The games are great.

the_importer: WayForward waits for enough sales with DRM to cover the cost, once it's done, then they release the DRM-free version. Guessing Mighty Switch Force Collection hasn't done well enough yet.
I was talking about this crap in a few other forums, gets very annoying that a lot of companies will go this route and make us wait cause they don't trust GOG as a day one platform for there game. upsets me that we had to wait like almost 3 years to get shantae half gene hero and got the other two here sorta fast...

there was talk about that on steam for mighty switch force. interesting how everyone is coming to this conclusion.

At least they eventually do release their games DRM-free. That's still much better than other companies which do not release their games DRM-free at all, no matter how old the games are.

Ok, great. Congratulations to WayForward. I love Shantae and other games from Way, and i buy they on my Nintendo consoles, but what is the problem about achievements on GOG? Every other plattforms have this feature (except Nintendo, cause Nintendo don't have an achievement system), so, why GOG don't have?

Ok, yes. DRM in first, BUT, if Steam version have achievements, i want achievements in GOG!

If WayForward updade the GOG version with achievements, i buy. And tha's all!

Like many others, I'm not buying this due to no Achievements on GOG but there are Achievements on Steam. Maybe when it hits the $2.99 bargain bin on GOG then I will consider it.

I'm pretty sure even the Japanese release has English voiceovers, at least the Japanese Arc System Works stream I watched had.
