Follow Mai on her journey through a shattered world – in Mai: Child of Ages, now available on GOG alongside its Soundtrack!

Venture through past and future, exploring Zelda-like dungeons, and uncover the bond that ties Mai to the enigmatic figure who will guide her throughout the adventure, teaching her the mastery of the arcane Uroboro Stone.

Now on GOG!
Can I ask Mai to show her UI and not have a model that reminds me of the reprehensible state of Youtube for children?
That bobblehead child is nightmarish.

It looks like the rest of her body, if folded up, would fit it inside the head.
Also, Child Mai's head looks to be noticeably bigger than Adolescent Mai's. XD

It's supposed to resemble Link from LTTP. Also, do you guys just hate all indies? I'm actually going to buy this. It looks fun and it's cheap. STOP FREAKING COMPLAINING.

I don't like going into this forum to look at replies because it's just negativity. I'm sorry GOG doesn't have the games you want and I'll bet even when they do, you guys still fight all the time. I'm sorry that GOG can't just put a new AAA title up here every day like most of you want. We have indies too.

This is fascinating to me. It really is. The way people in the age of the Internet have completely lost all capacity to cope with something as innocuous as just seeing a negative opinion about something they like without losing their damned mind. And of course the need to make up bizarre assumptions about the person they disagree with. "You dislike something about this indie game? Well, I bet you hate all indie games and only want AAA titles!"

Dude. Relax. The vast majority of games I play (at least new ones) are indies. Like 4/5 of my GOG wishlist are indies. It's been like two days since the last indie release I complemented. I just don't think this game looks too good, and the super deformed big giant head child is particularly off-putting to me.

And, you know, people can just dislike something you like. And express that dislike. It's ok. Somehow I can read this thread full of people complaining about games I think are great and I don't start ranting and raving at them like they're throwing stones at my dog.

Okay, sure it doesn't look great, but it might be fun and that's why I'm buying it. Also it isn't a roguelite so there's that. There's a lot of indies I've enjoyed that have looked not so great but were really fun. How about not judging a book by its cover until you've actually played it? Now if the gameplay sucks, then yes I'll refund it. Because I play games to have fun, not for how they look.

1. Have you seen me review the game? Literally all I said was "That bobblehead child is nightmarish." I'm inferring anything about the gameplay or the story or anything else from that.
2. Games are a visual medium. How they look is tremendously important. If I'm to spend hours playing something I need to like what I'm looking at, or I won't "have fun".
3. You don't need to be so aggressively assertive about buying it. No one says you shouldn't. I don't begrudge anyone buying or having fun with a game I don't like or am not interested in.
