Tallima: Can people click on the front page news article? I can click on all of them except this release. I have Opera.

I tried with IE, but it's just a garbled mess on IE.

Thanks!

Also, I had this wishlisted on Steam but just took it off b/c I probably won't get to it for a few years. But now that it's on GOG, back on the wishlist it goes! :)

trusteft: the links in the front page don't work.

Tallima: Good. I'm not alone.

JudasIscariot: New :)

Tallima: See above. The news article is unclickable on the front page. Shout across the hall and tell the folks to make a link. :)
We know about that issue and we're working on it :)

HOORAY!

It's finally here. Loved the look of the game from the first moment I saw it (unfortunately it was too late to back it on Kickstarter). Will buy the Deluxe version right away when I'm home tonight.
Here we go again. More standard and deluxe edition nonsense.

tinyE: Moron asking questions:

Is Xulima new or is this reboot?
I'm only asking because it doesn't look or sound familiar but she sure is pretty.
avatar
soulitter: Im pretty sure its a new game.Their Indiegogo page doesnt mention a reboot.

Also, from the description right there at the top of the page:
"This is no sequel, remake, or reboot either - Lords of Xulima is a completely original fantasy RPG"
Does no-one read those things? Poor GOG word monkeys!

KunoNoOni: This is a new game that would have never existed had it not been for the CRPG Addict's blog. Check it out at here
That was a great read!

Luned: Made up my mind--- I'll be buying this now, instead of preordering any version of Pillars.
I've read in some reviews that Xulima is HEAVY on the grinding, which gets very tiresome quite soon... while Pillars promised much more story driven experience... so it depends whether you prefer constant fights, or more balanced content (can't promise anything about Pillars though, as they're not out yet)

Well, you better get used to it. Once some developers started doing it and people here praised it, it's going to become a common practice now.
I don't like it either, but hey, "A choice is always a good thing, isn't it? ". Well, not really, not always and not in a long run, because now free goodies coming with the games will become a rare thing. Why give it away for free, when people insist on paying for them?
Anyway, no longer a problem for me. In such cases I wait for the promo and buy offered edition (usually it's the best one) heavily discounted, so I don't care. I am one of those "patient gamers" ;)
I'd sooner get this than any editions of Pillars of Eternity. And I might, actually. Wishlisted.
So guys can somebody tell me to which game playstyle wise this is similar and I must agree the pricing for the deluxe version is very good.

Combat is more like the Wizardry games :) The rest is an isometric RPG :)
Edit: All fixed now, thanks :)

The links on the promotion page still don't work. They are pointing to http://www.gog.com/news/www.gog.com/game/lords_of_xulima_deluxe_edition

Why is nonsense? For me it makes perfect sense. Probably for old games it seems reasoble to have complete versions for a low price but for newer games it is logical to have a higer price and many people maybe don't want to spend more money and they are just fine with a normal version.

I don't understand why anybody is complaining about the price for Deluxe version of this game when its lower then prices for base versions of other games. It boggles my mind.

What's up with the extremely bold and annoying print gog?

Edit: Thanks for fixing that.

Well, I can`t decide wether to buy or not! Sounds interesting, but when the fighting is like in the one Wizardry game I played, then I should better not buy it. Damn, it itches my RPG nerve, but I fear that the battles are as bad as in the Wizardry game! Can somebody help me, pleeeease?!?

Point is, at this moment in time, I'd prefer to spend $20.99 on play-today Xulima than plunk down $54.99 for the equivalent (Champion) edition of Pillars. I don't expect them to be identical games, and I'll almost certainly eventually buy Pillars, but probably not as a preorder.
