Plays tough, but deep. Looking for commitment.

Lords of Xulima - Deluxe Edition will gladly scratch your old school RPG itch, with a weeklong -30% launch discount, DRM-free right here on GOG.com!

If we had to say one thing about Lords of Xulima - Deluxe Edition, it would be that it's huge - over 100 gameplay hours huge. This is no sequel, remake, or reboot either - Lords of Xulima is a completely original fantasy RPG which mixes isometric exploration with first-person turn based combat for all the good old school gameplay you know and love. Lords of Xulima - Deluxe Edition is the most complete package - it includes two pieces of extra content: Talisman of Goldot DLC and the Special Digital Rewards package. The DLC includes three artifacts of epic giving power to help you on your journey, while the digital rewards are a package of impressive bonus content including an Original Soundtrack, a detailed Bestiary & Mythology of Xulima, Map of Xulima, and more!

Make your commitment to Lords of Xulima - Deluxe Edition, or pick up the standard edition and grab the edition upgrade later on, all with a -30% launch discount, DRM-free on GOG.com! The special promo will last for one week, until Thursday, January 22 at 11:00 AM GMT

How come I have that already on my wishlist? There was an announcement couple of days ago?
More than 100 hours - judging by the trailer it looks like the game would be 10 hours if the game had a reasonable walking speed.

You can have a hell of a lot of a better movement. But if you are not careful, you might aggro some nasty monsters. So the recommended speed it's take it slow. If you feel brave enough you can use the faster movement. It also has a run option if i recall it right.

I am intrigued by the size of the download (200MB).
Made up my mind--- I'll be buying this now, instead of preordering any version of Pillars.
low rated
What's with all the RPGs recently? ) :

Please GOG, give us something else. There's loads of great adventure games or puzzle games you could have.
My wishlist is going to overload if this keeps up. Still, is there going to be some normal edition too, or just the Deluxe one? Because the game looks good, but I could definately get by without all the "deluxe" stuff.

It uses some good compression because you need roughly 2GB of diskspace according to the requirements.

Grargar: Yup.
Oh. Well... that was easy. Thanks :D
the links in the front page don't work.
I'm a backer and completed the game on Old School difficulty after 120 hours. Can ask me about the altar's special items and locations, I sorta compiled a list on rpgcodex sometime back.

It'll definitely be 100 hours++ if you grinded all the areas.

Can people click on the front page news article? I can click on all of them except this release. I have Opera.

I tried with IE, but it's just a garbled mess on IE.

Thanks!

Also, I had this wishlisted on Steam but just took it off b/c I probably won't get to it for a few years. But now that it's on GOG, back on the wishlist it goes! :)

Good. I'm not alone.

tinyE: Moron asking questions:

Is Xulima new or is this reboot?
I'm only asking because it doesn't look or sound familiar but she sure is pretty.

JudasIscariot: New :)
See above. The news article is unclickable on the front page. Shout across the hall and tell the folks to make a link. :)

You'll be ripping your figurative flesh open with the amount of games that promise to 'scratch your old school RPG itch'.
