tfishell: GOG, I hope you know people do really want a truly DRM-free release of this. I'm one of these people.
However: unlike some others here, I understand, that GOG can't do anything about this.
And IO? Makes enough money with their DRM-ed versions.
No reason for them to invest unnecessary money, only to get a DRM-free version on GOG.
The possible revenue
(most people would refuse to buy at full price) simply doesn't justify the investment.
Not after six years.
Am I too pessimistic? Maybe.
