Lead the people of the Tribe of the Dawn as they venture deep into forbidden lands. Ensure the survival of your populace in a grim fantasy world inspired by Slavic folklore – Gord is now available on GOG alongside its 4 DLCs: Hold Your Ground, Digital Artbook, Original Soundtrack, Chronicle – a free eBook and audiobook providing an insight into the original mythology of Gord, and Deluxe Edition!

In this single-player adventure strategy, to survive, you must build, but to prevail, you must conquer the darkness beyond the gates. Enter the dark fantasy world, in which you must complete quests while managing a populace whose personal stories and well-being decide the fate of your tribe.

Check out our stream of Gord on our Twitch Channel on August 19th, 1 AM UTC!

Gord presents a unique blend of strategy city-builder with survival elements. You’ll erect palisades, develop structures, and grow your gord from a humble settlement to a formidable fortress. However, expansion won’t be easy! Your population is constantly at risk from enemy tribes, gruesome monsters, and mysterious powers that lurk in the surrounding woods.

The variety of quests in Gord will have you venturing beyond the walls of your settlement, either to prevent calamity from happening or to address a personal matter of one of your subjects. The Scenario’s main objectives will guide your journey, while side quests and random encounters will dispatch you into the wilderness to hunt down legendary creatures, uncover secrets of the Ancients, or vanquish a nasty scourge. Expect the unexpected.

But that’s just a portion of all the grim goodness that Gord has to offer: custom scenarios with procedural generation, impactful sanity systems, powerful incantations, and history of the Gord universe told through The Chronicle – it’s all waiting to be discovered.

Check out Gord now and immerse yourself in its amazing atmosphere!
Going to pick it up for sure, but Chernobog knows when I get to actually play it with all this good shit coming out lately.

Can confirm.
Supposed to be 1,5 GB in size, but downloads just a 620 MB zip. The exact same issue with the WAV version of Baldur's Gate 3's soundtrack a couple days ago, curiously enough.
Can we get these type of posts for jiggly booby games that GOG sells?

Has been fixed.
Can't say I have heard anything about this game. Probably because Baldur's Gate 3 or Diablo 4 has got more attention.

Seems to be getting quite bad reviews so far, some downright brutal.
Gord on Mac via Crossover is possible and OK!
macOS sonoma brings gaming on mac a lot closer with it's native WINE engine

I JUST TESTED GORD (GOG editioncros) IN CROSSOVER 23.5 (they added D3DMetal) AND IT WORKS VERY WELL ON MY M1 pro 16GB RAM (SOnoma, Ventura not tested).

graphic settings MEDIUM without SSO (but switch upscaling to 'FSR2 performance' and nothing else). resolution is stuck to 'low' but it looks good even on my 4K monitor.

I feel so tired: The Gog version of Gord is still outdated .
Judging by this post of the sub-forum - the game has been semi-abandoned and will not be updated. A real shame. The latest patch was also not just some ''Oh, we fixed 2-3 bugs''. From the other site: (Bugfixes not listed; oh my)

New features

· Unassigning Subjects - Added possibility to unassign Subjects from workslots in Structures. This is done by clicking RMB on any occupied workslot. Unassigned Subjects change their professions to Foragers.
· Inventory screen - Introduced a new unified Inventory screen that allows exchanging items between all Subjects.
· Automatic Structures repairs - When switched on, Subjects will automatically repair Structures in the Gord while they are idling or after depositing the resource. There is an additional toggle added to the Subject Info Panel that allows turning this automation on and off. By default this automation is turned off.
· Automatic reviving - When Subject is idling, it will automatically revive other knocked down Subjects that are in its hearing range. This is basic Subject behaviour, can be interrupted by issuing any other order.
· Automatic Faith gain - When Subject is idling inside the Gord it will automatically start praying in the Temple or stand near Carving to acquire some Faith. This is basic Subject bahaviour, can be interrupted by issuing any other order or by any other automation.
· Expanded automatic recovery - Expanded automatic Health and Sanity recovery that was introduced in patch 1.3 to Merchants and patrolling Subjects (military professions and Scouts)
· Global Automations switches - All newly added automatic units behaviours can be globally disabled in game settings.
· Twitch drops info stored locally - Twitch drops info is now stored locally and does not require internet connection to work. There is an option for refreshing Twitch drops data added to game settings.

Tweaks and updates

·Reduced amount of notifications and removed horn sound from the most common notifications.
·Reduced the amount of voiced warnings.
·Portraits of selected Subjects are better visible on HUD.
·Rescaled some elements of HUD to better use available space (fonts, Lower Action Panel)
·Opening Info Panel with multiple objects selected on the level will no longer hide the minimap.
·When Subject Info Panel is open, notification will now be visible next to it.
·Treasures and resources are more visible on the level due to addition of subtle light.
·More valuable resources are marked with brighter colours on minimap.
·After children grow up, they are automatically assigned to work as Foragers if there are workslots available.
·Population panel on lower action panel shows idle subjects by default.
·Particular quick scenario options are available based on selected difficulty. For example it is impossible to generate ·Quick Scenario on Brutal difficulty without any enemies present on the level.
·Introduced additional performance optimisations, mainly concerning terrain and shadows.

Balance

·Gold is now a required resource for building military structures.
·Gold consumption by millitary units was significantly reduced.
·Rebalanced Millitarry professions to make them more distinctive from themselves and other Subjects. Archers have higher attack rate and longer range. Axemen deal more damage to multiple targets. Spearmen are better against single targets.
·Productivity of Subjects was increased based on their experience in gathering.
·Food consumption was increased for Subjects with higher experience levels.
·Rebalanced items occurrences in all campaign missions.
·Power of items was increased.
·Building cost of Scorpion was reduced.
·Haste incantation requires less Faith to cast.
·Size of Burial Grounds was reduced to provide more building space inside the gord.
·Reduced amount of Growth points added by Ironworks upgrade.
·Rebalanced Raids during fourth Campaign mission on all difficulties. They are now easier to beat.
