Best experienced with a mouse.

Ghost of a Tale is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The gritty fantasy adventure has finally scurried out of its In Development mousehole!
In a medieval world of animals, where the Mice have been marginalized by the vindictive Rats, Tilo's search for his beloved will accidentally throw him in harm's way. The little mouse minstrel is not much of a fighter, but cunning, guile, and nimbleness are forces to be reckoned with and Tilo wields them as expertly as he does his trusty lute.

David9855: I get what your saying but in theory there should be no or very little bugs on a professionally released game. Even on release, especially if the studio has a Q.A .department.
While this is surely the ideal, it's purely academic. Player base are made of thousands if not hundred of thousands players (and with AAA titles even millions). You cannot simulate that amount of data (you get from a huge player base) with your QA department. There already pretty good at what they're doing, highly efficient and know how to track down bugs, replicate and fixing them. And the most difficult part is often the replication, finding out WHY and HOW the bug appears, the fixing itself is often not that hard.

drealmer7: always best to wait at least a month+ or a major patch or 2 after a game's release to start playing, usually after a month or 2 you can tell how much patching might be necessary for a desirable playthrough if it's not already at that point by that point

I tend to agree, but apparently this game was made by a one-man studio. I'd like to think when it comes to Q&A stuff he rolls his chair 5 feet away from his work space to another desk with a little plaque saying 'Q&A department' and puts on an official-looking hat.

BeatriceElysia: Here's semi-official response from developer for disparity between gog and steam versions

https://www.gog.com/forum/ghost_of_a_tale/about_the_update_delay_between_gog_builds_and_steam_builds
They fixed the problem and are able to upload faster now. 6.34 is already up.

It is quite gorgeous. With such a small team responsible for it all, and the great effort shown in updates for the game, deffo want to purchase at full price when able.
