Are you human? Or are you Dancer.

The Dancer, a DLC pack for Cultist Simulator, is now available DRM-free. To celebrate, the base game will peel 25% off its price until October 18th, 6pm UTC.

Think you could pull off an occult pirouette, an esoteric feather step or a sacrificial heel turn? Then the dancer's career will fit you like a glass slipper. Perform in cabarets and theatres pulsating with eldritch energy, as you experience one new Legacy and two new Ascensions, or shapeshift into animal forms. Just make sure to watch your step.
Thanks for your quick reply, Alexis. I'll wait for GOG to fix it then. :)
The Mansus can wait...

Hi all,

Sorry about this, that's on me as I should have remembered that the Perpetual Edition meant the DLC is free for those who purchased it.

In any case, all qualified owners should be getting their Dancer DLC added to their accounts within the next couple of hours or so ;)
LOL. Nice. It got auto added to my library. I also saw I already received Mark of the Ninja Remastered for free as well over on Steam.

Oh, thanks for putting the finger in our sore spot... :'(
Working nice. The new career starts with health and passion, while struggling with funds.

A Perpetual Edition might be something peculiar right now. However, it is a good, honest deal: Pay for the whole game once. It would be a great thing to have more of these deals.

Those with the regular edition risk less. Those with a perpetual edition risk more, as they really do not know what is going to happen with the game after the developers launch it. Everybody wins.

If we except maybe the games that will be an almost sure success, for any other game that struggles to find a place under the sun, this formula seems a good one: they are really getting an advance on content still not made.

Added: Plus, a base of users to play and comment on the new material as soon as it is launched. Again, something good to have if you make good games and good additional content

So, how is one able to start a Dancer? It's not available for me and I already purged my save even.
Do I have to "win" first or what?

The store page for the Dancer DLC states this:
"To play as a Dancer:
Begin the game with the Dancer legacy. This will always be available if you win a minor work victory at Glover and Glover, and sometimes be available otherwise anyway.
To pursue the new Ascensions without being a Dancer:
Find Sulochana, and speak with her at the Ecdysis Club about your current Desire."

I am assuming "minor work victory at Glover and Glover" means getting promoted once while working there. I haven't tested this myself yet.
Not just a promotion. You need to deal with Mr. Aiden in order to get a better job position ;)

The minor work victory means you resign yourself to working at Glover and Glover for the rest of your life rather than pursue other goals.

Thank you both. I don't plan on "wasting my virtual life away" so I guess I will find Sulochana then.
And: Wow, looks like the devs and I have a very different opinion on what is "minor".

Yes, as far as normal human goals are oriented, living a comfortable life and retiring is far from minor - but you are a cultist. Your aspirations should be much higher ;)

But yeah - it's a victory in that you end the game without being dead or insane (or worse). It's minor in that it's a relatively easy to obtain goal. There is at least one other minor victory (possibly more). All the major victories are far more difficult to get.
