Crazy cultists. Cthulhu. A talking cat. Gibbous takes you on an expansive, traditionally animated, hand-painted adventure. Play as three protagonists and explore a lushly rendered Lovecraft-inspired world, unraveling ancient conspiracies. A comedy cosmic horror adventure made in Transylvania!
Yaaaay, finally!
it looks amazing!
"Comedy Cosmic Adventure made in Transylvania"

OK, they got me there, ahah.

Point and click was never my thing, although I dipped in it now and then, but this seems quite interesting.

And how come I haven't heard of this?!

Good luck to them, pnc may be a dead genre but this kind of game may revive it. :)
Instabought... And thanks for the Artbook & FLAC Soundtrack by Cami & Liviu!

Just in case some wonder about achievements:
At the moment the achievements for Gibbous on GOG have not been implemented. That's only because the devs focused on polishing the game, sending out backer keys ect. - and they are only three people. They asked me to assure you all that they DEFINITELY will arrive in a future update! They will never treat GOG as second class.

I wanted to put the game on the wishlist, but realized it's already there. Looks just amazing. Thanks God such games are still developed.

I was surprised by the lack of achievements, so thanks for this clarification, it's understandable that they didn't make it for the release, this game deserves to be successful!
I've actually almost completed the game, as I did some beta testing to it. Gibbous is all around a solid game and the art and animation it has put most indie adventure developers in shame. It puts many bigger budget devs in shame too. The script is good and a lot of the jokes worked for me at least. Puzzles are pretty logical, so you should get far even if you are a beginner adventurer. For more experienced adventurers, it should not be too tasking of a game.
Just like tomint said. Gibbous is NOT designed to be a big challenge so don't expect one. It is designed to be an enjoyable experience and to try things out and watch the reactions. It has puzzles in it (it's no walking sim) but for adventure veterans it's quite easy. Still it's so enjoyable because it looks fantastic, the soundtrack is fitting and great and the jokes are always there ... and there's a talking cat which alone would be worth the asking price ;)
I see there are text in a lot of languages, what about the quality of translation?

I can only tell you that they hired a professional German translator and I also helped a bit on this as well. As far as I know all should be professional translations but I only tested the German one.

The Romanian one and the English is made by the devs themselves.

A spooky castle in Transylvania -
a speaking, cynical black cat -
a guy wearing a red shirt...
that's the stuff thrillers are made on.
Thanks for releasing GIBBOUS DRMfree and day-1 @GOGcom.
Instabought, instainstalled and now going to play it.
I'm really interested, but I get easily frustrated, if there is something I need to figure out and it takes me too long. So I'm cautious with point and click games. But this one looks really fun.

At those who played it: How does the hint system work?
I played "Irony Curtain from Matryoshka with Love" recently. It had two frustration points, where where the hint system didn't help me (because I was stupid).
